Now hear me out, what if we gain life mostly by dealing damage? By say, running almost every Lightning Helix -esq effect we can. Then sprinkle in some creatures that gain us life with various triggers like Shattered Angel , a few lifegain doublers in Boon Reflection and Rhox Faithmender , some powerful effects in exchange for life like Vona, Butcher of Magan , and a little static drain with Sanguine Bond .

NOTE: I'm purposefully excluding the Sanguine Bond / Exquisite Blood combo because I'm not much of a combo guy and that's not really how I want to win.
