Alternate Commander: Karona, False God

About time I rewrote this i think!

I built this deck as a gimmicky laugh, wanting to include all 15 of the Theros block gods, which over the last 6 months I have managed to acquire. This pantheon has been supplemented by adding in all of the kamigawa Myojin cycle (due to their divinity counters) and I am now in the process of acquiring and including the Shadowmoor/Eventide Demigods.

To complement the gods, and to increase their devotion I have also included a copy of all of the weapons of the gods, except for Whip of Erebos which I do not currently own. I have also added in a smattering of the Dictates, and am on the look out for the others.

This deck was originally only a gimmick but has now reached the point where I play it as one of my most enjoyable and effective Commander decks. Cards like Captain Sisay, and Reki, the History of Kamigawa really help the deck be more consistent, and adding in That Which Was Taken can really get stupid.

The deck runs a large number of lands due to the high average CMC of the deck, and so that I can ensure I have all the coloured mana I need. Fixers such as Chromatic Lantern and Darksteel Ingot really help with this too.

There are only a few more cards I want to get for this deck to really make it complete, so will be looking out for them in the coming months.

There are a few fun/broken combos in thsi deck too, which can really get a bit silly:

Spirit of Resistance + That Which Was Taken : Nope, I don't think I will take any damage thanks.

Wrath of God + Gods: Becomes a one sided board wipe.

Captain Sisay + Reki, the History of Kamigawa : Easy card draw, plus tutoring of Gods...
