Pharika, God of Affliction

Legendary Enchantment Creature — God

Indestructible

As long as your devotion to black and green is less than seven, Pharika isn't a creature.

: Exile target creature card from a graveyard. Its owner creates a 1/1 black and green Snake enchantment creature token with deathtouch.

Your deck is way too heavy, and you have alot of 1s and 2s of cards.

For starters I'd take out

Doomwake Giant - he's a weak boardwipe at best but with as heavy as this deck is you won't have enough Enchantments to kill anything of real value

Pharika, God of Affliction It won't be a creature most games and it's 5 Mana for himself and 1 Enchantment token

Eidolon of Blossoms its just too much Mana. In modern games can be over as soon as turn 4 and you won't have time to get any value out of him. I'd add more copies of Sythis, Harvest's Hand it's much cheaper and much easier to get more value.

Underworld Coinsmith just doesn't have enough time to utilize him to give you enough value. This is what I'd take out for starters. Now I'd move these cards to your sideboard as they aren't needed/used every game. Destiny Spinner Seal of Primordium

Now I'd add more of these cards that are already in your deck Sythis, Harvest's Hand Herald of the Pantheon and Sanctum Weaver this should help make this more consistent. I hope this helps.

Have you considered Pharika, God of Affliction? She makes enchantment creature tokens :) Also Old Rutstein makes both creature and artifact tokens, maybe worth a shot? Cool deck idea!

Laeon, Face of Deception

Legendary Creature - Demigod

Laeon's toughness is equal to your devotion to blue and black.

Whenever Laeon becomes blocked, you may tap target creature blocking Laeon and put a -1/-1 counter on that creature. That creature doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step.

For our main win, I would make sure we max out our draw and mana fixing, see if there's anything we can add in the budget that protects our enchants on board and/or adds recursion redundancy, and enables us to use their effects more. Ramp and fixing like Abundant Growth, Urban Utopia, Mana Bloom, and Fertile Ground may look unimpressive, but they are very helpful. Sanctum Weaver is an obvious call-out for this spot. Card draw/tutoring will be helpful to find the correct mana and the right shrines. We're missing a few relatively budget enchantresses Yavimaya Enchantress and Enchantress's Presence. Moon-Blessed Cleric is a cheap tutor to smooth things out as well. Protective pieces can be pricey (Privileged Position and Greater Auramancy, I'm looking at you) but there are a few good budget options we missed like Destiny Spinner, Resurgent Belief and Alchemist's Refuge. Finally, there are a few creative ways we can duplicate some of our triggers that we missed. Paradox Haze and Sphinx of the Second Sun will duplicate the effects of many of our 'old' shrines that trigger at the beginning of our upkeep. If we can get rid of legendary with Mirror Box (or a few more pricey options like Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, we can duplicate our shrines with Estrid's Invocation, Mirrormade, and Clever Impersonator.

Secondary win, I would find things that make our creatures more effective. Cards like Bastion of Remembrance and The Meathook Massacre (though this may stay simply because it's a board clear as well) are going to be less impressive without sacrifice outlets. You could add a few...but those don't synergize well with your deck I feel. I would go with enters triggers instead like Impact Tremors and Purphoros, God of the Forge if you happen to have one. A pump or two may be nice as well...my vote goes to Dictate of Heliod since it can be a surprise...and buffs both your enchantment and non-enchantment creatures.

For cuts, then, I would look to higher-mana things and/or things that don't fit into these categories such as Pharika, God of Affliction, Bastion of Remembrance, Felidar Retreat, Callaphe, Beloved of the Sea, Muldrotha, the Gravetide

Sneak Attack now loses sight of Progenitus and thus you don't sac him at the end of turn. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. With the amount of tutors you have in WUBRG, you can land this practically every single game. There's more efficient ways, also. Goryo's Vengeance would be ideal. Get Pro into your hand and discard him. Then flicker at end of turn.

Green has plenty of ways to tutor out non-basic lands, too, ensuring you always find Beacon. For example, Crop Rotation, Scapeshift, Hour of Promise and Expedition Map. Not to mention you can always just tutor a land via .

Pro gets removed somehow? Not a problem. You can always play Command Beacon from your graveyard using something such as Restore, Wrenn and Six and Crucible of Worlds, as some examples.

Then, it's as simple as dumping Gods into play. Because Gods count their own pips with regards to devotion, you only ever need +1 or +2 more.

A mono-colored God such as Heliod, God of the Sun, for example, needs 5 and counts his own. So with Pro in play, you need more. Comparatively, Pharika, God of Affliction needs 7x total in any combination of and . She already contains , so she needs a total of 5 more. Pro contains , bumping her devotion count up to +6. She literally needs +1 more pip to be online.

So yes, in my opinion Progenitus is the "Best" God Tribal Commander.

But, for me, Golos is more fun.

  • Pro triggers in the graveyard to be put into-

Goryo in response. ;)

RNR_Gaming That does make sense, which is the primary reason I'm reluctant to cut Questing Beast, as it tends to be a very large threat that works quickly with of without Fynn. Not sure how I missed Chevill, Bane of Monsters but he'll be getting a spot quickly, maybe in place of Hornet Nest. I think I'll skip Lurrus of the Dream-Den and Pharika, God of Affliction for now, but Bow of Nylea definitely could slot into the sideboard easily.

Make sure the deck can win without Fynn. I love the card but he's currently the only thing in pioneer that will give things poison. Chevill, Bane of Monsters could give you some extra card draw and feeds into the death touch strategy and can be gotten off of collected. Additionally, you could cut/move Questing Beast to the sideboard and run Lurrus of the Dream-Den as your companion. Alternatively, a Bow of Nylea go wide token statedy with Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Pharika, God of Affliction could be interesting but you'd have to rework your removal and well, I feel like you have the best removal Sweet for pioneer already.
