Sideboard

Maybeboard

This was originally my Gyruda companion clone deck with Lazav, Dimir Mastermind until the new Sakashima partner was introduced to MTG. I chose Tormog as the other partner since his ability to make zombies not only synergies well with the deck, but also gives us blockers we might need against wide boards. This deck was a unique build I thought of when I saw the new Sakashima partner as he fit perfect for my game plan. We get a built in clone always in the command zone, and technically get “3” commanders which is insane card advantage.

This main objective of the deck is to rush Gyruda out as soon as possible and to chain clone spells from the ETB trigger, by targeting himself to continue making our board state. Now if our partner Sakashima if not out, we might want to just choose a bigger body from the ETB trigger since they will all die to the “legend” rule. Always keep in mind picking a bigger creature from ANY graveyard might be a better option than a clone depending on the board state.

I am always looking to improve my list so feel free to suggest cards to add or take out. :)

Thank you for checking my Gyruda partner deck out and I hope this helps you! Have fun deckbuilding!
