**The Ur-Dragon**

{W}{U}{B}{R}{G} Scion of the Ur-Dragon was the first EDH deck that I ever created. It quickly was changed into a deck with The Ur-Dragon at the helm. The Ur-Dragon is the perfect deck for a bruiser. This deck can hit hard and can easily lead to an insane board state. The Ur-Dragon's Eminence ability is not overpowering, but really helps the deck stay competitive with faster decks.With The Ur-Dragon as the king of dragons, Tiamat is easily the queen and can be swapped out as the commander when desired.

The Creature Base

The Creature Base

This deck's main function is stampede opponents with huge dragons. A lot of the dragons synergize with other dragons, functioning almost in the same way slivers do. The more dragons in play, the better the deck performs.

Dragons Helping Dragons

• The Lords of Tarkir: Ojutai, Soul of Winter, Silumgar, the Drifting Death, Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury, Atarka, World Render, and Dromoka, the Eternal. These dragons all pump or buff other dragons in play when attacking.
• Utvara Hellkite and Lathliss, Dragon Queen: These two help flood the board with more dragons. The synergize well with Scourge of Valkas, which can provide some removal on the board or direct damage.
• Thunderbreak Regent and Scalelord Reckoner: These two offer a little bit of protection and deterrent for my dragons on the board.
• Boneyard Scourge: An early dragon on the board and provides a constant presence with it's easy recursion ability.
• Bladewing the Risen: One of the best dragons in the arsenal. I love having Bladewing in the yard, recurring it with Fearsome Awakening or Unburial Rites and getting a two-for-one deal.
• Hellkite Courser: Bring The Ur-Dragon out with its ability and smashing face with it. This could lead to getting more dragons on the board with The Ur-Dragon's ability.
• Tiamat: If The Ur-Dragon is the king of dragons, then certainly Tiamat is the queen of dragons. Her tutor ability helps fill your hand with awesome dragons to be played with The Ur-Dragon's ability and she serves as an alternate Commander when you're looking for some variety.
• Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm: Miirym copies dragons as an ETB and allows dragons to double up.
• Rith, Liberated Primeval: Much needed protection for your dragons and also fills the board with more dragons.
• Ureni of the Unwritten: The newest dragon in the arsenal. Ureni draws card to dig for great dragons and put them directly into play.

Other Awesome Flying Lizards

• Dragonlord Dromoka: Stax ability on a fat dragon... plus lifelink.
• Balefire Dragon: The best dragon-based board wipe.
• Niv-Mizzet, Parun: Much needed card draw.
• Two-Headed Hellkite: More card draw... need I say more.
• Twinflame Tyrant: Damage doubler for dragons.

Support Creatures

• Morophon, the Boundless: Additional cost reduction on all my dragons, plus an anthem effect.

Support

There is a real need for ramp and support in this deck. The dragons are great, but without the support enchantments, artifacts, instants and sorcery's, this deck doesn't function.

Ramp is ESSENTIAL to this deck. Dragons cost a lot. The Ur-Dragon's eminence ability helps, but ramp help[s bring the deck to full force.

Maskwood Nexus + The World Tree

Prerequisites

• The World Tree and Maskwood Nexus on the battlefield.
• {W}{W}{U}{U}{B}{B}{R}{R}{G}{G} available.

Steps

• Activate The World Tree's second ability by paying {W}{W}{U}{U}{B}{B}{R}{R}{G}{G}, tapping and sacrificing it, causing you to search for all creatures in your library, as they are all Gods due to Maskwood Nexus, and put them onto the battlefield.

Results

• Put all creature cards from your library onto the battlefield.

Synergy #1

Dragon Tempest: Especially with some of the dragon engines, like Lathliss, Dragon Queen and Utvara Hellkite, this card is helps get some direct damage across to opponents.
