This deck was born with a simple concept: end games in a timely manner. No infinite turns, no 57 landfall triggers, no complicated trigger stacking. Phat Daddy hits the board - creatures turn sideways. The whole while, I am threatening a Splinter Twin combo to end the game even faster. Counter my combo? Sure, I'll just stomp on the board with my big ol' dragons and dinosaurs!

So who is Phat Daddy? The Timmiest of Timmy cards of course, Maelstrom Wanderer ! Phat Daddy brings home all the value. Enabling haste makes threats like Etali, Primal Storm and / or Pathbreaker Ibex from scary to terrifying. It can also dig for Splinter Twin pieces, draw cards, or really anything. Double cascade and haste. Wanderer could be a 1/1 creature and I would still play it, honestly.

ALL STARS

- Splinter Twin - Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker , Zealous Conscripts , Pestermite , Deceiver Exarch , Bounding Krasis , etc. They make infinite creatures. Duh.

- Tooth and Nail - Find Kiki and Pestermite - win the game. Still not bad coming off a cascade, since i have a good chance of having big creatures in my hand.

- Sunbird's Invocation . Yo dawg, I heard you like Cascade! So we put Cascade on yo Cascade, So you can Cascade when you Cascade!

- Etali, Primal Storm - See above. Great with haste.

- Pathbreaker Ibex - Grull smash. Me big hit. Hilarious with Xenagos, God of Revels

- Kozilek, Butcher of Truth A lucky Modern Masters pull back in the day, Kozilek now serves the purpose of being a late-game mana dump for when I've ramped too much and drawn too little. Annihilator 4 is NASTY, but with haste enabled it's disgusting. Not bad coming off a Tooth and Nail with Xenagos or bathbreaker ibex either.

This deck is a "Medium budget" deck. Meaning I'm willing to go out and buy some cards, but I'm also not looking to buy expensive singles, such as Mana Crypt . Most cards over $10 you see in this list (notably the lands and Rhystic Study and Kozilek, Butcher of Truth ) were either traded for, or purchased / opened long ago.
