The Eternal Wanderer

Legendary Planeswalker

No more than one creature can attack The Eternal Wanderer each combat.

+1: Exile up to one target artifact or creature. Return that card to the battlefield under its owner's control a the beginning of that player's next end step.

0: Create a 2/2 white Samurai creature token with double strike.

-4: For each player, choose a creature that player controls. Each player sacrifices all creatures they control not chosen this way.

Hello fellow Wyleth, Soul of Card Draw player!

I'm glad you got both Wyleth's and Aesi's precons for a good price. They are reeeeally explosive in gameplay with a few upgrades.

I play a lot of this bad boy, and I want to suggest some swaps below 3 USD for you to take it to a higher ground:

First of all, the ramp. I found out that 2 CMC, untapped ramp is the best for Wyleth. Since he draws so many cards, he can chain rocks and voltron pieces in the same turn, so his next turn is even more explosive than the last one. I almost always have more mana than the Green decks in my pod.

You should run boardwipes that hits your stuff the least:

Also, you can streamline your removal package. All of those are fetchable by Sunforger:

More/better auras and equipment

Cheating equip costs

If you really need to protect yourself against attacks, Ghostly Prison is a way better Palace Guard.

More utility lands

Have you ever thought about Witch's Clinic or Devoted Caretaker? Not quite sure what constitutes an '8', but Crackdown is pretty neat in mono-White, few people run big White creatures, it's probably a better defense than Ghostly Prison or Norn's Annex, but it might paint a target on your back. I think at a power level of 8 you can run something like Drannith Magistrate, that might be worth a look.

Wipes are very important as your power level goes up, people's decks get 'out of hand' both quicker and to a greater extreme, even 'fair' decks might have a much scarier board than you. Even in cEDH I hear about people using wipes these days, Promise of Loyalty is one I like, this will clear out even wide boards and force people to go after each other. The Eternal Wanderer is also interesting, but she is 6 mana for a pretty fun wipe in Voltron decks. There is also Single Combat, I suppose if you keep your Commander who cares if you can't summon any new creatures?

If your power level is reasonably high you can almost count on someone drawing quite a few more cards than you, maybe Wedding Ring would be worth it?

The Eternal Wanderer is bonkers in my walker deck. You get to pick the opponents lamest tokens after all, pretty rare that my opponents aren't fielding a token, or utility creature. Then again, I usually have unusually beefy built up creatures in that deck as well so my keep is usually supreme

Crucible of Worlds and Command Beacon makes it where you no longer pay command tax Divine Reckoning Slash the Ranks The Eternal Wanderer and Hour of Reckoning are decent board wipes to consider

very janky but hear me out

Avacyn's Memorial and Leyline of Singularity i noticed your only using token creatures Mirror Box when your against snowball goblins or elves this combo comes in handy

The Eternal Wanderer seems really awesome here, you can use it to blink your own commander. You also have enough incidental lifegain to run Staff of Compleation with high upside.

KBK7101 on (Rule 0) Kaito/Wanderer partner deck?

Was showing a friend the Neon Dynasty anime trailer yesterday and got an idea for a deck. Basically, an blink/flicker deck featuring the planeswalkers Kaito and The Wanderer as partners. I was thinking about having the ONE versions of both of them as the commanders of this deck.

Kaito, Dancing Shadow and The Eternal Wanderer

Basically, my question with this thread is... if you sat down against a deck led by these two partner planeswalkers, what would you opinion be? I purposefully avoid infinite combos if that's a concern.

There is no decklist yet. Just the bare bones of an idea I was debating exploring.
