Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines

Legendary Creature — Phyrexian Praetor

Vigilance

If a permanent entering the battlefield causes a triggered ability of a permanent you control to trigger, that ability triggers an additional time.

Permanents entering the battlefield don't cause abilities of permanents your opponents control to trigger.

Last_Laugh on New hubs to be added

legendofa re: double triggers. None of what you listed is a trigger. I'm talking Isshin, Two Heavens as One, Teysa Karlov, Felix Five-Boots, Yarok, the Desecrated, Gandalf the White, Drivnod, Carnage Dominus, Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines, etc.

I guess to me a hub describes a decks main focuses and when I'm unable to describe my deck this way then the available hubs might be getting too narrow.

Anyways, cheers and sorry for the bad timing... it didn't even click I tossed this at ya on a prerelease weekend.

No worries, I figured we all place different emphasis on those non-token creatures. I mostly like Scapegoat since it can help dodge removal that typically gets around Indestructible.

Ojer Taq, and the design for the other Ixalan deities is really cool and flavorful. I like how they turn into their places of worship, compared to the Devotion stuff we saw in Theros. I was thinking of doing Ojer Axonil, & building it as like Goblins & group slug effects.

The two mono-White commanders I brewed in the past year were Preston, the Vanisher and Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines. I pulled a Mom Norn about a year ago, and it's just been sitting in my White Binder lol.

If I have Norn's Choirmaster out, do I get a double proliferate trigger when I summon my commander Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines? I initially thought no but after rereading Norn's gatherer text I was a little confused. Thanks!

nbarry223 on Ways to STOP T0 GRIEF/FURY …

While not a t1 or t0 answer, I’ve always liked copy creatures like Phyrexian Metamorph to answer Fury, letting us 2 for 1 on the backend essentially.

As far as answers, the best I’ve got is Surge of Salvation or Sanctifier en-Vec/Defense Grid/Void Mirror/Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines if we can ignore the turn premises.

As far as other cards, there’s things like Silence that stops them from casting further spells if played before they resolve, otherwise the reanimate effects can just be used in response.

There’s also all the various 1 mana counters. I don’t really know of a good answer to the turn 1 double Grief - it is pretty suppressive honestly.

NV_1980 these are both excellent suggestions, thanks! I don't think i'm running quite enough ETB's for Panharmonicon or probably Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines for that matter-- I have more exit the battlefield or death triggers. Think it's worth running them just for my commander synergy?

I don't know what would be good to sub out Panharmonicon for if I do run it.

Come to think of it, with all these ETB's you're benefitting from, maybe Panharmonicon would make sense too. Also acts as a nice redundancy for Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines. In case you plan to attack with your creatures, Cathars' Crusade will boost your critters into the stratosphere with all that ETB going on.
