Adeline, Resplendent Cathar might be a reasonable addition. she isn't a soldier but gives you extra fodder for you to buff and will hit like a truck. Also Mirror Entity and she will be good friends with the tokens she poops out.

Errand-Rider of Gondor, Resistance Squad, Spirited Companion, Loyal Warhound, Solemn Simulacrum, and Knight of the White Orchid are always reasonable additions. you need cards and mana to play them. they also love to be blinked and revived, which is what white does best.

Cosmic Intervention and Teferi's Protection are the s+ white cards. they go in every deck with white

You should run Skullclamp and Heirloom Blade. and Recruiter of the Guard. It is too good not to.

You have plenty of blink synergy already. Eerie Interlude, Ghostway, Semester's End are things you should strongly consider, the delayed return allows you to dodge wipes, although youll lose your tokens. Teleportation Circle might be reasonable to add. Planar Guide can also be used offensively too. And The Eternal Wanderer is outrageously strong. It does everything.

Cut Arm the Cathars its awful at 3 sorcery speed. Things like Akroma's Will exist and are 100x better. I'd honestly have you revise most of your instants and sorceries. You dont have enough draw to use spot removal like this without putting yourself at a disadvantage.

If you run baird, you should also consider Norn's Annex, Ghostly Prison, and Windborn Muse. as those effects stack, they get much much stronger.

Darien, King of Kjeldor is pretty silly, although he's expensive. with the soul sisters you run, you become very very hard to kill. Conclave Phalanx isn't great in my opinion without some blinking, but if you use something like Nykthos Paragon, its very silly Knight-Captain of Eos also can do a lot to make you invincible.

Flowering of the White Tree is an amazing anthem. probably the best in the game. Spear of Heliod is probably second if you keep mana up, just because it will likely turn offense to other players because of its awful ability.

Moonshaker Cavalry is probably an instant win if you play it

LANDS: This deck might actually be able to run Scorched Ruins.

You might as well add Daru Encampment, Forbidding Watchtower, and Memorial to Glory. Kjeldoran Outpost has synergy but has a major drawback.

I'll look at more low cost stuff later. most of my recommendations are like 5cmc+

If you're open to Universes Beyond, I'd recommend Flowering of the White Tree. It's become a favorite in my various aggro decks. The static Buffs are decent for a deck like this. I started brewing Okinec, & mixed in a handful of static Buffs anthems with more general +1/+1 counter support.

I see that you're running about 12ish pieces of ramp, but have you felt 31 lands to be low at all during play-testing?

Generally speaking, I think Caesar and token Isshin lists will end up having a lot of similarities. In looking at your list, I have a few suggestions:

I hope these suggestions are helpful. Caesar is likely going to find a home in my Isshin deck, come next March. I'm hoping we get a decent NCR Ranger in the precon.

Ogre Battledriver is kind of nice I may add him.

I did know that about Elturel Survivors, thanks for letting me know how that works tho.

I'll stick to deathtouch rather than menace, as I said Pyreheart Wolf Was really just filler lol.

Skyhunter Strike Force is nice I'll keep that in mind.

Yeah I pretty much made the decision to cut Lightning Runner as we were speaking as I thought the same, also thanks for checking the price.

Corpse Knight and Witty Roastmaster are good adds, I didn't even think of taking advantage of the tokens with things like them and similar effects lol.

Hellrider and didn't even see that effect of Commissar Severina Raine but they are both good for the same reason.

I'll take the lands into account, Captain Lannery Storm is quite nice with isshin.

I'll keep Tibalt's Trickery in mind but for now I'll keep chaos warp for overall budget reasons lol.

I missed Soul Partition in the brothers war set, it's quite nice.

Generous Gift and Stroke of Midnight are definitely nice cards, kind of forgot about Generous Gift lol.

As for now I like Mortify a bit better as there's currently no really threatening Artifacts, but Wear / Tear will be noted tho.

I love Plumb the Forbidden lol.

Fates' Reversal is really just for the times isshin gets killed a lot and he becomes too expensive to cast again, the idea I have is just let him go to the graveyard and bring him back if it gets stopped it's no big deal as that would be my last effort before complete death, that's really all Fates' Reversal is for lol.

I did see Flowering of the White Tree But don't have it for money reasons.

Brew discussions are one of my favorite aspects of MtG and EDH. I'll hop on Discord a couple times a month and talk with my best friend about our deck ideas. We end up chatting for a couple hours at a time as we deliberate on decisions lol.

I used to run Fervor until Rising of the Day dropped earlier this year.

  • Ogre Battledriver is also a great Haste and Power boost for your creatures that ETB.

  • A note with Elturel Survivors is that its +X buff is static, so that won't get doubled by Isshin. This is what allows the Myriad tokens to "see" the lands that your opponents control. So each Myriad copy will check for the number of lands its respective defending opponent controls.

  • If you do want a Menace anthem, Goblin War Drums is also an option for the same CMC as Pyreheart Wolf, but is a bit more removal resistant. Hard to pass up on those death touch anthems though.

  • If you like Adriana, Captain of the Guard, I'd recommend checking out Skyhunter Strike Force as a slighter CMC cheaper option, or as a redundant effect.

  • The tough thing with Lightning Runner is that it still has to attack over two turns to get the full 8 energy with Isshin on the board. Without him that gets stretched out to over 4 turns. I took a quick look at Cardkingdom, and the cheapest non-foil Aurelia is about $6.99.

  • The ETB group slug damage can get nasty once Isshin starts doubling up the token production on attacks, especially with Myrel. Some other budget effects are Corpse Knight and Witty Roastmaster. Purphoros, God of the Forge is still fairly out of budget, but a nice upgrade if you wanted to move that direction.

  • Hellrider, Commissar Severina Raine, and Brutal Hordechief are a nice suite of group slug damage that encourage you to swing with big boards. Commissar is also like a budget Skullclamp on a stick. Speaking of which, Skullclamp is a great draw piece for all your small token creatures, and should be under $10, depending on the printing.

  • I'm currently running 35 lands in my Isshin deck, along with the 3 Talismans, Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Sword of the Animist, and some Treasure production in the form of Captain Lannery Storm, Professional Face-Breaker, and a handful of other Treasure producers.

As for the instants and sorceries, I tend not to suggest cuts as much there, since I think that's where more meta & playgroup specific tech decisions can be made. Generally speaking, I recommend cutting out single target sorcery speed removal, and saving those sorcery slots for board wipes & draw, Also try to make your instant speed removal be as target-versatile as possible to cut down on how many permanent-specific options you need to include. Here are a few thoughts I do have:

  • I'd suggest swapping Chaos Warp with Tibalt's Trickery. It's fun to catch people off guard with a red counter spell, and White & Black have a better go at removing the permanent types that Red typically can't. I think Chaos Warp is better if you're running a Red color combo that doesn't have access to Enchantment removal.

  • Terminate or Condemn can be cut or swapped with Soul Partition. Soul Partition is great since it can (temporarily) remove a troublesome nonland permanent, or save one of your own if needed. Sometimes the extra can throw off an oppoent's tempo if they really need to recast whatever you exiled, & sets them back a turn or two.

  • I think Vindicate can be replaced with Generous Gift and/or Stroke of Midnight. I think that making your suite of removal be as versatile as possible across a few cards can help you save multiple slots that are more specific/situational on what they can remove. The creature tokens created by Generous Gift & Stroke of Midnight are fairly low impact, & typically die in chump blocks or board wipes.

  • Mortify can probably replaced with Wear / Tear as an instant speed option that hits multiple targets.

  • If you want some instant speed draw, I'd recommend checking out Plumb the Forbidden. It's an excellent response to your opponents board wiping, and since you can create copies of it, the copies will dodge counter spells.

  • Fates' Reversal can probably be cut. Isshin doesn't really want single target recursion, and the Venture the Dungeon is better if you have other instances of Venturing to get its benefits. Lich-Knights' Conquest is a new option for mass recursion that you can throw some creature or treasure tokens into.

  • A little off track from the instants and sorceries, but I'd recommend swapping out Paladin Class and replacing it with Flowering of the White Tree. The Ward 1 can make your opponents look for easier targets to remove, & helps some of your more aggro Legends stick around.

Some possible additions would be:

Flowering of the White Tree for buffing everything and giving your legendary creatures some protection.

Windbrisk Heights to help cheat out hopefully something big for doing what you're already doing.

Frontline Medic to help when you swing wide.

Boromir, Warden of the Tower to stop others from getting to cheat out spells in general.

Door of Destinies and Coat of Arms to make your army swol.

Vanquisher's Banner Path of Ancestry and Sylvan Library for some card advantage.

Maybe putting in Throne of the God-Pharaoh and Strixhaven Stadium as additional win conditions to take out players that can guard against you or pillow fort.

It looks like you're also running a counters matter sub theme so maybe Opal Palace has a place too.

Great build! Dinosaurs are such a fun experience for newcomers.

Some points you might want to consider regarding your ramp package:

1: Ramping with creatures or artifacts is riskier than with lands (boardwipes usually leave lands alone). Also, has many mana doublers that benefit from land ramp:

2: If you're willing to include Cinder Glade and Canopy Vista (or their expensive siblings Stomping Ground, Temple Garden and Sacred Foundry), you open up some more options for you:

3: Then you might want to increase your land count. 33 is too few for Temple of the False God to realiably function.

I recommend swapping out your mana dorks for lands that ramp you (you can never have too much mana with kill-on-sight Gishath, Sun's Avatar):

4: Some card draw:

5: Better combat tricks

6: Broader utility

I'd suggest removing Reliquary Tower. If you have more than seven cards in hand as Gishath, you're already winning hard. In its place, consider one or more of the following:

Yo, I saw your post on Reddit & thought I'd leave my feedback here. Overall pretty solid start, but there are a few spots that are worth re-evaluating. I have a few suggestions for additions & swaps:

  • I think you could stand to use a bit more instant speed removal like Anguished Unmaking, and you can probably swap Vandalblast for Wear / Tear. Dismantling Wave and Grasp of Fate are also options that can hit multiple targets without necessarily being a wipe. I think Vandalblast can be more of a meta-dependent call.

  • As the person stated on Reddit, I second that Reconnaissance, Dolmen Gate, and Rising of the Day are all additions that should be made to the deck.

  • I'd suggest swapping out Cathars' Crusade with Flowering of the White Tree. Cathar's Crusade can be annoying to track, especially with the amount of tokens Isshin can pump out. Flowering is lower to the ground and offers some additional blanket protection to all your legends. I've played Flowering of the White Tree in my Burakos and Isshin decks, and have really enjoyed how well it performed in both.

  • I'd suggest swapping Phyrexian Arena for Plumb the Forbidden, especially as a response to board wipes, and because you're already running Necropotence.

  • Minas Tirith could be a decent addition to your mana base, and the Temple of ___ cycle can likely get swapped out with more of the Battlebond cycle like Spectator Seating. As the person on Reddit stated, I second replacing the Snarl Cycle, and as many of your lands that ETB tapped. Canyon Slough and Sunbaked Canyon can be potential additions, especially since they offer some additional utility if you don't really need them.

  • I think it could be worth while to add in Talisman of Hierarchy and Talisman of Indulgence to round out your ramp a bit more.

I hope these suggestions are helpful. Down to bounce ideas for any other swaps if you're interested. Best of luck with brewing and playing Isshin, he's a lot of fun!
