Carah Approaches with Pyromantic Intent
Profet93 yeah I think this boils down to a difference in playstyle. I have some decks where I dedicate a bunch of cards to protecting the generals cuz they need time to do their thing. For this one I think it's best to combo or bust, because to spend slots on guarding Carah dilutes the power of the deck.
Even though Seal costs 5, cost reducers are so valuable in this build that I want to include as many as possible. I want two costs reducers out. From there, I dig for either Birgi, Storm-Kiln Artist, Runaway Steam-Kin, or Neheb. Any one of these four gives me great odds to play most if not all of the approaches in the deck since every approach will cost 0 at that point. So Seal and kin are integral to the game plan, definitely not winmore. I don't think it's redundant since I'm aiming for 2 reducers and there are only 8 in the deck. Heck if I owned a Stone Calendar I'd be making room for it.
It's worth exiling approaches from the yard for extra mana that can be used to play a combo piece. So Rapacious Dragon is really valuable (he's like 2 Lotus Petals that you can tutor into play when needed). I'm even thinking of slotting in Goldspan Dragon as a second Rapacious, just not sure what to take out for it. Maybe Extraplanar Lens ?

seems like fun! the only thing I'll say is that any effect like Stone Calendar's is a good one, so I'd be cautious in lowering the CMC. I like the idea of adding an activated ability... I'm not sure exactly how to balance the card myself but I do think it's cool that you're looking into it

Stone Calendar is a nice card, but it is far too expensive; by the time that a player can spend 5 mana to cast it, they shall already have missed many opportunities in which it shall actually have been useful.
Therefore, a lower casting cost would be very beneficial, but I believe that lowering the mana cost to would make it almost entirely better than the medallion cycle (Ruby Medallion, Sapphire Medallion, and so forth), so seems to be an ideal cost, to me.
Of course, I still feel that the card needs to have an additional ability, to justify its cost, so I added such an ability, and the result of my work is seen, here:
Crystalline Calendar Show
I added the ability of Crystal Ball to this card, because it is an excellent ability, but another one that I feel is slightly underwhelming, but, together, both abilities are very powerful, because the player needs to spend less mana and can manipulate the cards that they draw, which works into the idea of a calendar being used to plan future events.
What does everyone else say about this card? Do you like it?

Ok so FYI I am a beginner but I think I know enough to help out! Ok so looking at your man curve you have a lot of higher costing stuff which is a huge problem with angels. So I will cover protection first. In protection I see you have Archangel of Tithes, Ghostly Prison, Thalia, Heretic Cathar, and Grand Abolisher. That is good because you need to get yourself protection for early game so your board state can get bigger and bigger. I think you could add Imposing Sovereign, Blind Obedience, and Windborn Muse. Now to get to casting creatures. As I said angels can be very expensive CMC wise so I would advise adding a Stone Calendar, Gilded Lotus, Manalith, Darksteel Ingot, and Worn Powerstone. These are great for getting creatures out and paying for your commander's extra mana when she dies. I can't think of anything else to say.. but I hate to be this person but here is my deck if you want to look for anymore inspiration!

Finally decided to break down and update the list to reflect all the changes that have been made in the actual deck since it's inception and the new commander decks seemed like just the perfect time. As they say out with the old and in with the new.
What's in: Memory Jar, Alhammarret's Archive, Kuldotha Forgemaster, Helm of Awakening, Stone Calendar, Bloodforged Battle-Axe, Ash Barrens, Buried Ruin
What's out: Sensei's Divining Top, Rogue's Gloves, Explorer's Scope, Sigarda's Aid, Cursed Totem, Gorgon's Head, PlainsX2
For the most part these changes are fairly self explanatory. Seeing as we are a deck that is completely committed to an "all in" strategy there's no point in denying ourselves any extra card draw or cost reduction. The deck is by far much less likely to run out of steam. The only ones that are a little more in the grey area would be the Ash Barrens over another plains and the Bloodforged Battle-Axe which you could sorta argue is a sidegrade to the Gorgon's Head.
What's out on the other hand I'm still on the fence about as a whole. After give or take a month or two of testing these bad boys were the biggest do nothings of the deck either being just some of the more lack luster of the equipments and Cursed Totem always feeling a turn too late to prevent them still getting some value out of their dorks. Sensei's Divining Top is the only one that I ever had any dilemma over and you could just swap out the Ash Barrens for it if you wanna be a cool kid.
Decks still a work in progress but it's coming together. Gonna test out Hammer of Nazahn at some point once I figure out how to make room for it.
