Hello,

This deck's purpose is to make your opponents lose 3 life every turn (ours and theirs if possible), while having our commander out to draw extra cards. Some cards damage us as well, but we get cards since they do damage to our opponents during their turns. Sometimes we need 2 of those cards to do so.

If opponents are attacked also and dealt damage by other opponent, we also draw. So goading or forcing attacks is another option also. Parasitic Impetus not only forces your opponent to attack an enemy, but they lose 2 life as well when they do so. Public Enemy can be used after you attack, so you are not forced to attack that turn.

Be careful with Ankh of Mishra and Rug of Smothering, as they can deal a lot of damage to you, if you are not careful. Forsaken Wastes prevents life gain to every plays including you and deals damage each upkeep like Copper Tablet and Barbed Wire. However the 1 extra damage every upkeep is really good and will allow us to get to the 3 life loss way easier.

Creatures or vehicles with 3 power, and menace or flying, with 2 mana are great, as they ensure the 3 life loss during our turns. They can also be used as blockers if needed. We have a few of those, the ones i found good enough. Loyal Subordinate is really good here. Every opponent loses 3 life every combat and has 3 power with menace.

Disciple of the Vault and Blood Artist are not ideal for this deck's build. However, they deal damage on decks that are aristocrats, or treasure themed, or on removals/board wipes in general. So they can help us trigger a lot depending on enemy decks.

Soot Imp and ofcourse Underworld Dreams are great here and can deal a lot of pain. Hissing Miasma can help you draw cards or prevent you from being attacked. Both are great. Especially if it forces your opponent to attack someoone else. There are also 3 other cards in sideboard with similar effect, but cost 4 mana.

We have a few enchantments that cause life loss on opponents upkeeps. Relic Bane, Power Leak and Power Taint are the main ones i decided to use. There are some others on maybeboard for you to look at. We also have Soul Barrier, Isolation Cell and Blood Seeker, that punish opponent's creatures spells with life or mana, usually the first.

Leechridden Swamp can help deal that extra 1 life loss to trigger a draw, plus its a land that taps for black. card::Hopeless Nightmares makes your opponent discard a card and lose 2 life for 1 mana. You also scry when it is destroyed. Combined with 1 more damage from our commander or anything its pretty good. The discard also part can be very effective, depending when you cast it.

As far as interaction, we have a lot of enchantments that deal with enemy commanders very hard. Those are: Imprisoned in the Moon, Wash Away, Witness Protection, Frogify, Mystic Subdual, Kasmina's Transmutation, Oubliette, Leadership Vacuum, In Too Deep and finally Dress Down. All these can end some enemy strategies very fast, be it commanders or other nasty creatures. We also run some very good bounce spells that are cheap and can even deal with 2 creatures with 1 or 2 mana.

We don't run many counterspells, but the ones we use are great. Feel free to add more if you like. Some of our interaction also make our enemies lose life, which help our strategy very much. Sometimes making our interaction, cantrips as well. The interactions i run, i find very efficient for this deck and cheap (both mana and price :). Change as you wish.

As for ramp, we only play 2 mana stones and Sol Ring. Since we don't wanna be flooded with those, or draw them later, we have ways to ditch them for other cards. Also some of our lands can be sacrificed or cycled for cards. Perilous Research, Reckoner's Bargain, Deadly Dispute, Costly Plunder, Smuggler's Copter and Chart a Course allow us to ditch extra ramp for cards.

I hope i m not forgetting anything. Hope you enjoy. I have tried this deck and it works great. It is not fast, but its casual and can deal with some fast strategies. It wins a lot, after testing it out, finding its weaknesses and adjusting the deck list-play style. It is in a good budget, and can be made even more. Sort by price to do it.
