Mystic Subdual

Enchantment — Aura

Flash

Enchant creature

Enchanted creature gets -2/-0 and loses all abilities. (Mutating onto the creature won't give it new abilities. It can gain abilities in other ways.)

ya so youve gotten alot of the good bant enchantments down but theres some that you missed that I think are really good. With Bant enchantments it gives you a way to modify your removal package to be a bit more synergistic. cards like Frogify , Mystic Subdual , Prison Realm , Darksteel Mutation , Kenrith's Transformation and even On Thin Ice if you run snow lands are great synergistic removal spells that can shut down commanders while also drawing you tons of cards or other effects.

Mirrormade is just another copy of your best enchantment

Idyllic Tutor , Lost Auramancers , Heliod's Pilgrim , Open the Armory are all fantastic tutors for cheap

Sterling Grove , Privileged Position to protect your whole board

you've already got your card draw all on enchantments which is great but have you thought about ramp too? You can very easily go all in on enchantments this way with land auras. Cards like Fertile Ground , Wild Growth , Overgrowth , Utopia Sprawl , Omen of the Hunt all make your lands better.

finally Canopy Cover is really cool, and i'd drop eutropia, nessian wanderer, and thirst for meaning. You have better ways to get lands and draw cards

He is just a creature and in most games he survives exactly 1 turn, so I think he is fine. You don´t need decks to stop him, one or two cards for creature hate is enough. White plays Banishing Light or Swift Response as soon as he attacks, blue just counters him or any kind of "loses abilities" enchantment ( Frogify Mystic Subdual ), black has countless of "destroy target creature" options, red either sends enough damage his way or is faster than he even hits the board and even green can just deathtouch + any kind of fight effect or Kenrith's Transformation him.

Yes he is strong if you don´t remove him but it isn´t like it is hard to get rid of a creature.

Ok for your opponents

So there are a series of cards from Stronghold, Exodus, and Tempest. They are creatures that transform into auras and can transform back to creatures. And they also fit the "jank" this deck has.

A few suggestions for optimization:

  • Being a low-cost aggro deck, you want as many of your lands to enter untapped as possible (and on color). Blast Zone is a poor fit, cause it hits on your side too, you won't have the time or mana to pump it and it doesn't tap for any of your colors, which can hurt your early plays. I'd probably also swap out the Temple and Triome for the last Hallowed Fountain and more basics.

  • Shark Typhoon is too slow. You only play 21 lands, so it'll often be a very small shark and you'd want to close out the game before it really becomes impactful. I get that you can keep up counterspells a little easier that way, but the deck is mostly tempo/aggro. The full 4x Brazen Borrower should be a better fit.

  • Your creature count is a bit on the low end. If you want some more instant-speed stuff and card draw, you might want to add some copies of Sea-Dasher Octopus - it plays well with all of your 1-drops.

  • I like Skycat Sovereign and Sephara, Sky's Blade for this deck. Consider trying 2x Sephara and 3-4x Skycat. Maybe instead of some number of Dovin's Veto and/or Mystic Subdual.

Hope that helps. Good luck with the deck!

Yes, Mystic Subdual will remove the Viligance ability from the enchanted creature. It does not, however, remove the counter.

All ability additions and removals happen in timestamp order in layer 6. In other words, you consider the additions and reduction all in chronological order. If they were to use Mystic Subdual, and then you give that creature a Vigilance counter, that creature would have Viligance.

Hope this helps!!
