Breya, Etherium Shaper

"The Esper shard of Alara is driven by the 'Noble Work,' an effort to augment all living things with an aether-infused alloy called etherium. Esperites believed Alara's etherium supply was finite because no one could create it, but Breya has proven them wrong. While exploring Jund, Breya discovered carmot, a red stone necessary for creating etherium that didn't exist on Esper. To prove her achievement, Breya replaced the majority of her organic body with etherium she created herself. Soon after, Breya realized that the wild magic of Jund had influenced her metal, granting her powerful new abilities."

Following her successful experiments with creating Armix, Filigree Thrasher entirely out of the pure etherium she created herself, Breya set out to begin her own Noble Work. And that is where this deck comes in.

Rather than take Breya in the quick, competitive combo direction, this deck seeks a more realistic outcome to Breya's Noble Work: artifact domination (or "Invent Superiority" ba dum tss). Using her abilities to create living artifacts of pure etherium, and a team of devoted Esperites and other scientists following her every command, she is setting out with her army of etherium thopters to spread her influence across the battlefield. Naturally, she is prepared for multiple outcomes. While a hostile takeover is very possible via combat damage with a large enough fighting force conjured up by Breya, a more diplomatic solution is ideal, taking advantage of Mechanized Production and possibly Mirrodin Besieged to eliminate her foes without the need for pointless bloodshed.

There are still combos, of course - Breya is definitely smart enough to have some tricks up her nonexistent sleeve. Chromatic Orrery + Filigree Sages can get you infinite mana with which to repeatedly sacrifice and cast Breya to bolt your opponents to death. And of course there's the ever-popular Sword of the Meek + Thopter Foundry combo which effectively lets you make thopters for each. Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer + Urza, Lord High Artificer and Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer + Digsite Engineer is a way to turn all your innocuous thopters and treasure tokens into a massive army of powerful constructs out of nowhere to march into victory. And finally, Pitiless Plunderer + Sculpting Steel + Sharuum the Hegemon is a way to generate infinite treasures (and thus infinite artifacts and/or mana of any colors) using the Sharuum-Steel Legend Rule sacrifice loop and generating a treasure token each time. Add Quicksmith Genius to dig for the Pitiless Plunderer if you don't have it, or to simply pitch another powerful artifact into your graveyard that you want to bring back.
