Artifact Land

Rustvale Bridge enters the battlefield tapped.

Indestructible (Damage and effects that say "destroy" don't destroy it.)

Have you considered more artifacts with Reconfigure? While I think all of them would work, Lion Sash and Cloudsteel Kirin should be auto includes.

Another card to consider is Paradise Mantle since its practically a mana rock.

If you find yourself with some budget space, Shadowspear is definitely worth consideration.

Also, to make it easier to activate Puresteel Paladin's Metalcraft ability(which gives your equipment creatures with reconfigure equip as well), you may want to consider artifact lands. This includes, but is not limited to, Great Furnace, Rustvale Bridge and Scene of the Crime.

This is all I have for you for now. Thank you for reading me out. I hope this helps. Happy Hunting!

None of Highland Lake, Rustvale Bridge, or Razortide Bridge are noted as being ETB Tapped lands.

Howdy! Note that you cannot use Archangel of Wrath, because although it is a white creature it has black in its color identity because of the {{b}} kicker cost.

Have you considered adding Sol Ring, Boros Signet, and Talisman of Conviction? They are excellent mana options.

I also would consider adding (2) more lands - your commander is (5) mana, so you want to make sure you can cast her.

Also, giving Karlach haste will speed up the gameplan - consider cards such as Lightning Greaves or Rising of the Day. I especially recommend Rising of the Day, because it also gives your commander +1 power - so you can one-shot a player every turn with commander damage.

You have a generally high average mana cost for the deck, so I would consider removing some of the higher cost cards or add more ramp, such as Worn Powerstone and Thran Dynamo.

I would consider removing Earth Tremor and replacing it with Swords to Plowshares. Generally you want your removal spells to be around 1 or 2 mana, so that you aren't spending all the mana in your turn just to remove one threat.

I would also consider updating the lands you have - there are lots of cheap lands to consider, such as: Command Tower, Needle Spires, Battlefield Forge, Temple of Triumph, Clifftop Retreat, Boros Garrison, Furycalm Snarl, Wind-Scarred Crag, Sacred Peaks, Boros Guildgate, Alpine Meadow, Stone Quarry, Rustvale Bridge, and Lorehold Campus.

Hope this was useful!

Brion Stoutarm deck:

The Stoutarm

Commander / EDH jjmac112

SCORE: 2 | 7 COMMENTS | 1233 VIEWS | IN 1 FOLDER

So this is the deck as it was pre changes. First of all, I think you'll notice that I swapped 17 cards, not 15 lol. Secondly, you'll see that Osgir, the Reconstructor has taken Brion's job. After all the changes the deck has been through I found myself rarely casting Brion and the few time I've played with Osgir have been valuable experiences ;)

Cards out: Brion Stoutarm, Felidar Sovereign, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Serra Avatar, Iroas, God of Victory, Descend upon the Sinful, Elspeth, Knight-Errant, Magma Phoenix, Prison Term, Figure of Destiny, Student of Warfare, Prophetic Flamespeaker, Land Tax, Dawn of Hope, Lone Rider  Flip, Needle Spires

So with Brion out so too are the cards that combo with him the most like Serra Avatar and Magma Phoenix. With everything else I just needed to make space for stuff that I can squeeze a little (or a lot) more value out of. The one thing I am thinking should find its way back is Gisela, Blade of Goldnight. It's a powerful finisher and I'm now short on things that can take my board state and put an end to the game.

Cards in: Nahiri, the Lithomancer, Zirda, the Dawnwaker, Venerable Warsinger, Feldon of the Third Path, Battle Angels of Tyr, Dockside Extortionist, Deep Gnome Terramancer, Archivist of Oghma, Akiri, Line-Slinger, Wheel of Fortune, Faithless Looting, Teferi's Protection, Anointed Procession, Smuggler's Share, Expedition Map, Swiftfoot Boots, Darksteel Citadel

Also, I just realize I should add Rustvale Bridge and Treasure Vault

Hellkite Tyrant looks like a fun wincon. If you really wanted to make this format legal, I’d replace the banned artifact lands with Rustvale Bridge and the others with cards that produce lots of treasure tokens and lean heavily into that.

If I have both Puresteel Paladin and Bludgeon Brawl and I play Rustvale Bridge, does it enter the battlefield as an equipment and trigger the card draw?

Thanks for the recommendations, Kazierts. Glad you enjoyed the decklist!

Dovin, Hand of Control is probably a good idea in the right match ups like vs combo decks, but I mostly play with my brother and we don't use any. Otherwise, it would be a solid 2-3-of sideboard card ASAP. Teyo, the Shieldmage is too situational and Saheeli, Sublime Artificer kind of seems like win-more even if you have the best synergy pieces. Lastly Rustvale Bridge might be an OK budget option for lands since it Galvanic Blast and Toolcraft Exemplar are so good when Metalcraft is triggered. However, in my experience entering tapped is too slow in an aggressive list like this one and the deck has no shortage of ways to produce artifacts.

Again, thanks for checking out my list!

Really nice deck!

I don't have any really strong suggestion in mind. The only thing I could possibly think was Dovin, Hand of Control in case this deck ends up playing against a sort of combo deck. Teyo, the Shieldmage could be ok if discard is something this deck struggles with. Saheeli, Sublime Artificer has the potential to turn something into vehicles, maybe her own constructs or Magda's treasure, but maybe she's too much of a stretch. All of them can be used as the alternative cost for the Heart of Kiran crew cost and Weatherlight can help find them. However, I can understand if they don't seem all that appealing.

For the lands, I'd just consider Rustvale Bridge since it's an artifact and that could help with synergies, but that's really not necessary.

This list seems pretty tight and well built. Well done!
