Maybeboard

What good 1 drop attack trigger creatures am I missing? I'm already going to be working in more removal, and trying to lower the curve. I have an extra Ranger Captain lying around and I like the protection he offers, but I'd like to get more value from his etb if possible otherwise he's being cut.

Isshin Attack Trigger reanimator deck. I haven't finished uploading the entire thing, and the list is going to get heavily altered before I play the deck. Suggestions would be fantastic for more attack triggers!

Suggestions

Updates Add

-Goldspan Dragon +Battle Angels of Tyr

Goldspan was proving to be a lightning rod for removal in this deck. Nobody in the pod wanted me netting 4 mana per attack.

-Aggravated Assault +Wyrm's Crossing Patrol

Without Goldspan here to reliably fuel this into a wincon(with Goldspan going off it was costing me 1 mana to activate and usually I could activate enough times to outright win this way), its not that worth having around. I mean yes, extra combats synergize, but at some point soon I plan on working that new Tiefling Barbarian in for some extra combats if I can, or Aurelia. Besides, 1 mana attack trigger is strong!

-Revenge of Ravens +Two-Handed Axe

Revenge isn't bad, it's usually inconsequential for 4 mana though. The Axe is going to quadruple something's power with Isshin out, as well as count as a modification for the things in the deck that care about that.

-Hellrider +Hammers of Moradin Hammers are going to be tapping 6 creatures and doing 2 Myriads per attack with Isshin on-board. For 3 mana this is absolutely insane! Pushing through a LOT of damage. Hellrider feels like an underperformer to me in commander. If ive got 1 opponent he is functionally hitting all of my opponents. It's like comparing Blood Artist vs Zulaport Cutthroat in commander but if the artist only triggered from your creatures dying as a direct comparison to Hellrider. You should be picking the Cutthroat in almost every case.

If you'd like another 1 drop attack trigger creature, I'd recommend checking out Signal Pest if you haven't already. Fairly easy to play, and helps anthem up your board when you swing out. If you'd like another fairly cheap Battle Cry effect, I'd also recommend checking out Accorder Paladin.

If you're open to it, I'd also recommend swapping out Coastline Marauders for Unquenchable Fury. Same mana cost, but Unquenchable Fury deals the damage without even needing to connect, and can effectively turn any of your creatures into a pseudo-Coastline Marauders since it recurs itself. Unquenchable Fury has melted opponents each time I've played it in my Isshin deck.

If you want to trim your mana curve a bit more, I'd recommend trimming some of your higher CMC creatures in the 6-7 cmc range. Doesn't matter which ones, just your personal preference on whichever have felt most lack-luster when played. Here are some other cool creatures in the 4-5 cmc range that could be some decent swaps:

Hope this helps!

I appreciate the suggestions and direction there! I feel like I've made some great changes to this deck, both using some of your suggestions as well as digging a little deeper to provide options! I think now my next goal is to figure out what I'd like to swap out to get a Greatsword of Tyr and Smuggler's Share in here. Possibly Archivist of Oghma and Deep Gnome Terramancer as well if I can manage to get multiple copies of them.

Just saw your deck back at the top of the feed, and thought I'd check out your updates since the last time I took a look. In case you haven't seen it yet, I think Tocasia's Welcome could be a potential alternative to Mentor of the Meek. Tocasia's Welcome will trigger off your token creatures ETBing, and works well in tandem with the Welcoming Vampire you already have in main.

Professional Face-Breaker has helped me out each time I've played it. It feels like a budget Tymna the Weaver in some ways lol.
