Strategy

Utilize Karona, False God's incredible damage-dealing power by encouraging your opponents to attack each other with it. Cards like Maze of Ith and Collective Restraint help ensure you are not killed with your own commander.

Win Conditions

The primary win-con is Karona, False God. During combat, she can pump herself by naming "Avatar", making this an 8/8. Even when other players control her, combat damage dealt by Karona, False God is still considered Commander Damage.

Another way to win is with a giant Decree of Justice. Notice the shadow of Karona, False God in the artwork? That's because this card is fantastic when your commander can buff all the tokens +3/+3. And it's a flavor win!

The third and final way to win is a commander classic: Smash face with Kozilek, Butcher of Truth or Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre.

The Fun Part

This casual Commander deck is a callback to classic multiplayer cards throughout Magic's history, and looks to have loads of fun with Karona, False God. Giving your opponents access to an 8/8 attacker every turn is sure to make for a quicker, more interesting game. Use the many wheel effects like Wheel of Fortune and Time Spiral to ensure no one is sitting at the table with nothing to do, and making sure each game you play with the deck is different.

A big problem I've experienced in walking into a game of casual Commander is the unknown power level. It's difficult to build a deck that won't squash new players while also holding it's own against veterans. This Karona, False God deck aims to combat that by playing a lot of copy effects like Rite of Replication and Clever Impersonator. This ensures that your power level somewhat matches the rest of the group.
