Hello everyone, I'm delighted to welcome you to my first attempt at making a four-colored EDH deck. Since I first saw the spoilers of COMMANDER 2016 nothing caught my attention more than Saskia the Unyielding and Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder. In my opinion both Saskia and Yidris strongly embody the characteristics of in many versatile ways, being it shenanigans, swarming or pure aggro. Furthermore having access in and opens up doors to some control strategies as well, which is something we are greatly going to consider and exploit.

1. Getting damage through

   Evasion

   To make sure that our damage makes it through we shall make use of evasion keywords such as Flying, Myriad, Trample, Super Trample, Menace, Landwalk and Fear. Remember, just damaging our opponents will NOT benefit us from Saskias' Combat Damage clause effect. That is why these are the most basic mechanics and probably the most expandable resources of "piercing through the lines" kind of abilities we can abuse of while attacking. Notable creatures who make usage of such simplistic tricks are : Akroma, Angel of Wrath, Stonehoof Chieftain, Siege Behemoth, Sheoldred, Whispering One, Lightning Reaver, Iroas, God of Victory

   Control

   While creatures with Evasion represent a serious threat by themselves, they are not all we have left in our arsenal. Remember, Saskia brought war to our enemies, so EVERY action counts! We want to be more than sure that we will benefit from our actions which means that our attacks MUST go through at all costs. Which brings us to Controlling and Shaping the various decisions and actions our opponents take during combat: Blocking and Attacking To do that we will be aided by spells that let us mess around with our opponents' strategic geniouses. Cards like : Blind Obedience, Basandra, Battle Seraph, War Cadence, Odric, Master Tactician, Brutal Hordechief, Master Warcraft create the perfect opportunities to turn the tables in our favor or even win the game.

2. Removal

   Explanation Show

   Removal plays an ESSENTIAL role in what we are trying to do. Being that Spot Removal or Mass Removal we really need to get that damage though. And by removing our enemies' defences from out of our way, we suceed in doing that.

Spot Removal

If we deem a creature to be very hard to deal with, or even worse, impossible to kill we straight up exile it : Path to Exile, Swords to Plowshares, Unmake, Utter End. It's also noteworthy that, while attacking, Ankle Shanker turns itself and all our other attacking creatures into dreadful announcers of doom!

Mass Removal

Mass Removal always comes in handy, especially against swarms of tokens. Blasphemous Act is a staple in almost any deck out there, while Molten Disaster is fun to play in case we excess in life total.

1. Pseudo-unblockable Abilities

   Myriad

   Myriad is such a great way through in this deck, and one of the funniest abilities to play within the format. It's doesn't make a creature unblockable, but in the kind of situation when you have your commander out it feels like it. In fact, if the chosen player by Saskias' ability has no creatures to defend him/herself from a myriad token, he/she gets further punished for it. And if the other players have no creatures to block as well... Then it's game over for that hated player.

   Damage Distribution/Unblockable

   So if Myriad is the soul of this deck, then Lightning Reaver, Siege Behemoth, Champion of Lambholt, Protean Hydra and Hydra Omnivore are the absolutely its' core!

Blade of Selves + Blinding Angel = Your opponents hate you for not letting them strike back.

Blasphemous Act + Vigor = Good guy Vigor dies with the rest of the enemy squadrons. But yours survive and are now pumbed up with fury!

Blade of Selves + Hydra Omnivore = Lethal!

Amulet of Vigor + any land that could possibly come into play tapped: Shocklands, Checklands, Scrylands, Tri-color taplands they all come in untapped, giving our four colored deck a significant advantage! The amulet is also a great situational artifact.
