Firesong and Sunspeaker

This commander is truly interesting. It gives every instant and sorcery lifelink and tiggers 3 damage off every lifegaining instant and sorcery. Finally I don't have to try and force Sunforger, Mistveil Plains, and Emeria, The Sky Ruin! They just fit.

This commander isn't for everyone, you should avoid him if the following offends your sensibilities:

1) The boros problem

2) A high life total

3) A small board state

4) Combos

The Manabase

I won't lie boros has a mana problem. They just can't get enough of it most of the time. There are some really good solutions though and we only have two colors so color screw generally isn't a thing.

Neheb, the Eternal is amazing at the head of his own deck and because we like to burn things here he will work well in this too.

Primal Amulet   makes most the spells in the deck cost a little less and then flips into mana that copies what it helps cast.

Pyromancer's Goggles is a lot like Primal Wellspring but can be quicker to get to since it doesn't need to flip first.

Treasonous Ogre because what else are you going to do with the 100 life you gained from casting Blasphemous Act?

Card Advantage In

Card advantage is the other issue with boros a lot of the time or so the blue players tell me. Again we have some really good solutions for this. Some of this is not actual card advantage as I counted some free stuff cards but it effectively does the same. I will be looking into more actual draw.

Azor's Gateway   honestly far from the best solution but it is quick to get out, it filters through the less useful stuff, and the flip side gives us all the mana we could want. Perhaps it should be in the manabase section but we can't count on it flipping.

Brain in a Jar A bit of an odd card but it gives consistent value. I believe it takes about 2.5 scry to roughly equal the value of 1 draw and in the mean time you get a few spells for cheaper than they should be.

Chandra Ablaze at some point our hand empties. Sometimes this happens really fast, other times it takes a bit. Either way this walker will help us keep some steam when it happens.

Charmbreaker Devils why not draw a card form your graveyard?

Galvanoth, Wildfire Eternal, and Sunbird's Invocation free stuff! Need I say more?

Well of Lost Dreams whoa actual card draw? This is really good, play it.

Synergies

Aetherflux Reservoir + this deck....

Isochron Scepter + Paradox Engine + Sol Ring or other rock that taps for or more = Depends on what gets on the scepter but this is fun, I'll be trying for Lightning Helix.

Repercussion + Blasphemous Act or similar effect = kill players with enough creatures, I've used this fairly often and at my table at least it preforms really well.

Basilisk Collar + firesong and sunspeaker + instant or sorcery that gains life = Murder

Painter's Servant naming white makes all the red instants and sorceries into red and white adding the 3 damage trigger to all of them in addition to the lifelink the commander already gives them. Yes it is banned, no I don't care.
