Hey there! This is my Yidris commander storm deck. It's built partially competitive and partially for fun. It's a Doomsday based storm deck, with alternative lines through casting Ad Nauseam. I recently updated this list to better reflect what I own in paper. Inspired by Melt Banana.

I do own all the foils (sparse though they are) in the deck. Altered cards indicate ones I'm currently proxying. Open to any feedback.

My budget is fairly flexible, as a few cards already in here can indicate. These mostly are ones I either already had or could easily trade for.

cutlist:

Mind's Desire , Tendrils of Agony , Sensei's Divining Top , Anticipate , Summer Bloom

to-add list:

Demonic Consultation , Golgari Signet , Red Elemental Blast ?, doomsday package?, expensive storm cards?

Doomsday piles are pretty easy to make work on a budget since Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder himself makes them easier. Here's two examples:

Yidris connected this turn-

Brainstorm , Lotus Bloom , Laboratory Maniac , Gitaxian Probe , Wheel of Fate Requires U and 2 life, as well as one card to put back. Brainstorm cascades into Bloom and you put back filler card and Wheel of Fate. Cast maniac to get the filler card, then Git Probe into wheel of fate for the win.

Yidris didn't connect this turn-

Predict , Laboratory Maniac , Gitaxian Probe , Unearth , Gush . Takes 1UB, two islands on the battlefield, and 2 life to pull off. Plus you need some way of drawing the predict, like a Ponder or similar. Pretty easy
