The goal is to have a control and stax gameplan, with a combo out of the graveyard as a finisher. The idea is to take advantage of Muldrotha's unique ability to recur hate pieces and grind out value, hopefully disrupting the board enough that we can combo off safely.

Pernicious Deed: A repeatable boardwipe that doesn't hit Muldrotha.

Chains of Mephistopheles: This punishes blue decks and Tymna the Weaver pretty heavily, and we don't really have a problem with it.

Mystic Remora: It almost never goes away and just provides massive card advantage.

Combo lines (with Muldrotha in play)

Phantasmal Image + Lion's Eye Diamond + Animate Dead: This loop produces infinite mana and infinite casts from graveyard. The steps below use Animate Dead but the loop functions with Dance of the Dead and Necromancy as well. Note that with Necromancy you will only float either OR with each loop, not both.

1. Cast Lion's Eye Diamond, and crack for . Everything is now in your graveyard, where we want it.

2. Cast Phantasmal Image from your yard ( floating), copying Muldrotha. Sacrifice the original to the legend rule. This resets what's been cast this turn.

3. Cast Lion's Eye Diamond from your yard, and crack for .

4. Cast Animate Dead from your yard ( floating) and target Muldrotha. Sacrifice the Phantasmal Image copy to the legend rule, again resetting what's been cast this turn.

5. Repeat 1-4 to float infinite and . You can then use that to crack for if necessary.

Once we have infinite mana and infinite graveyard casts, we can do a number of things. The important ones are Walking Ballista, to kill the table outright, Aether Spellbomb or Nihil Spellbomb to draw your deck, or Codex Shredder to infinitely recur an instant or sorcery to your hand (for infinite casts).

The Intuition Line

Intuition is a one-card win condition.

1. With open, cast Intuition, piling Snapcaster Mage, Lion's Eye Diamond, and Phantasmal Image. Assume they don't give us LED.

2. Cast Lion's Eye Diamond from the yard, and crack for . Whatever they put in your hand is now in the yard, where we really wanted it.

3. Cast Phantasmal Image from the yard, leaving floating. Copy Muldrotha and sacrifice the original to the legend rule. This resets what's been cast this turn.

4. Cast Lion's Eye Diamond from the yard, and crack for . ( floating)

5. Cast Snapcaster Mage from the yard ( floating) and target Intuition with the trigger.

6. Flashback Intuition using your and from external sources. Pile Animate Dead, Walking Ballista, and something else.

7. Cast Animate Dead (from either the hand or yard, wherever they put it) targeting Muldrotha. This requires from external sources. Sacrifice the Phantasmal Image copy to the legend rule. From here you can initiate the LED loop.
