Let's start from the beginning. I have been playing Magic: the Gathering since Nemesis. Plague Witch and Daze were my first two cards I ever owned and I have had various favorite cards throughout the years. Phage the Untouchable , Mourning Thrull , I even really like Delver of Secrets   (Who is probably #2) but one card since its release has stayed tried and true my favorite card: Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper !

How did Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper become my favorite card though? Well I always had a special place for the set Coldsnap in my heart from when I bought a fat pack as a kid during the summer of 2006 when I was on vacation visiting my grandparents and loved the fat pack art and cards. Back in late 2006-early 2007 though, I was fourteen, and after our local card shop closed for the day, my friends and I walked to our nearby Burger King aka Card Shop #2. I traded my buddy some cards for what was then essentially a Coldsnap Commander deck with Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper as the general. Running cards like Karplusan Wolverine , Shape of the Wiitigo , and Phyrexian Soulgorger (as well as some other random Time Spiral cards like Curse of the Cabal ) this deck was Coldsnap themed through and though, and honestly, not very good. Regardless, I was immediately intrigued by Deathkeeper and a bond was formed that day. Many people however, dislike Coldsnap as a set, and often consider it one of the worst in MTG history. I disagree, as I loved Coldsnap to death! And because of it Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper was introduced to me, found a special place in my heart, and he has been my favorite card ever since!

This deck is my pride and joy and although Deathkeeper isn't an ideal commander or a "good" one by any means, he is my Commander and I love him!
