Hello, everyone! This is a deck that is definitely a threat in the EDH world: quick reanimation! I have had so much fun using this deck, and it was destiny when I picked up the Meren of Clan Nel Toth commander deck box at my local Hastings. It was really the best starter commander deck, but I decided to tweak it out to make it better. It's actually the best in my EDH group play (only if the fast decks don't get to it). They're easily a lot of synergy with the cards, either going to the graveyard or staying on the field to sacrifice themselves for the "greater good".

Green/Black Reanimator decks are amazing for multiple reasons: ramping, library play, graveyard play, sacrifice benefits (and lots of tokens to boot), and huge creatures. As noted below...

"Ramping" cards. These cards helps you bring out mana to bring out Meren of Clan Nel Toth and other big spells:

Sakura-Tribe Elder : Adds land for you, and is a sac-outlet? Definitely important in this deck.

Satyr Wayfinder : Helps you put stuff in your graveyard (with a land in your hand to boot), which is a good thing in your deck.

Solemn Simulacrum : 'Nuff said. Free land and draw power, if you have Meren of Clan Nel Toth on the field, then he can just keep on coming and going for more land and draw power!

Wood Elves : Forest card... includes any land card that includes the word "forest" in it's subtype, like Bayou .

Ashnod's Altar : A Sac-outlet for mana card. Two colorless mana to boot.

Phyrexian Altar : Another sac-outlet like Ashnod's Altar , but you get to choose any color!

Sol Ring : Staple EDH card. Period.

Library play/graveyard play. Whether to search for cards to put into your hand or your graveyard to summon in the field by means of some card or Meren of Clan Nel Toth :

Eternal Witness : A staple green card in EDH to bring any card in your graveyard to hand. Any awesome sorcery or instant? Sure let's play it again.

Fauna Shaman : Get rid of a random or weak card to put things in your graveyard and get a card you actually need.

Matter Reshaper : In death there is life, or at least a possible cheaper life or free card.

Sidisi, Undead Vizier : It's an overally good card that gives you a good size creature with deathtouch, sacs a creature, and tutors for ANYTHING for you.

Skullwinder : Your opponent killed someone you didn't mean to (or even killed your commander)? Well, you can bring her/him back again. Beware that one of your opponents will have that same effect with you. My friend was playing with my purphoros-and-krenkos-multiplayer-annihilators deck, and he brought back Krenko, Mob Boss . Normally awesome, but not for me.

Deadbridge Chant : Normally, putting 10 cards in your graveyard is a tough thing to swallow, but he turns into a second Meren of Clan Nel Toth ! Double the graveyard pull.

Evolutionary Leap : Sac a creature, put things in your graveyard to look for another card.

Sacrifice Benefits. Cards that do things when you sacrifice things or let them die. Could be used as potential win-cons in some events.

Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat : Best cards to whittle away your opponents health while you do your sacrificing thing.

Flesh-Eater Imp : One of the few legitimate win conditions in this deck! All you need is to keep on attacking with him, beef him up with some sacrifices, deal 10 poison counters, and win.

Massacre Wurm : Use cards like Fleshbag Marauder and Grave Pact (or have both together) to make the most out this card.

Matter Reshaper

Sakura-Tribe Elder and Yavimaya Elder and Solemn Simulacrum

Viscera Seer : Use this card to sac and then at least determine your next card in hand.

High Market : A cute card. Mostly important if I have no sac-outlet and when my opponents are afraid to kill my creatures.

Dictate of Erebos and Grave Pact : Use your useless tokens to get rid of their awesome creatures.

Evolutionary Leap : You can thin out your deck and put things in your graveyard to use.

Diabolic Intent and Victimize and Dread Return : Sac a creature for an amazing spell. Winning.

Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Altar : Sacrifice for mana. Boom.

Once again, I look forward to any improvements/ shout outs. I'm still improving the decks and the descriptions, so let's continue to help each other. -Lobo

Notes: Pulling out: Creakwood Liege- too slow/ no outlet either ashnod or phyrexian altar. not both. no gitrog monster no void vinonner
