Anafenza Hate Bears

Firstly, for those of you who are facing down against a hate bears deck, I found this advice when searching for survival strategies:

"Speak firmly and authoritatively as you slowly back away. Stand tall and stay in a group if you're with friends, but don't look the bear in the eye or make sudden gestures. Don't run or throw rocks. If she charges, stand your ground; most charges are bluffs that end with her turning abruptly at the last moment. If she attacks, fight back (play dead if she's a grizzly). If your friend is attacked, make noise to try to scare away the bear. Join the fight against a black bear with sticks and rocks (aim for the head and nose) only if there are three or more of you to help. Otherwise, pull back at least 100 yards to a safe position. When the bear leaves, administer first aid."

Synopsis

This deck is legal for both the multiplayer commander banlist and the 1v1 MTGO banlist.

Anafenza hate bears is an aggressive deck built around cards that can and will lock down your opponents options while crashing in for waves of damage. There are several toolbox outlets, and a plethora of removal at your disposal.

One of the best ways to win is a mana dork turn one into Anafenza on turn two, which often allows you to swing for 6 on turn 3. Follow that up with devastating mass land destruction or an effective lock and it can be very hard for your opponent to come back.

This deck punishes greedy players, anyone who keeps a mediocre hand or plays big splashy spells will learn quickly that Anafenza Hate Bears is overbearing.

Synergies

There aren't too many specific synergies, a lot of the deck can be silver bullets for matchups, which is why a lot of tutors and repetitive effects are necessary. However, there are a few cards that go particularly good together:

Containment Priest + Eldrazi Displacer : Exile target creature. Great combo for killing creatures.

Leonin Arbiter or Aven Mindcensor with Ghost Quarter or Field of Ruin Turns your mediocre land disruption into Strip Mine and Wasteland. Add in a Ramunap Excavator and you have effectively Crucible locked your opponent.

Something worth mentioning to those who find themselves against a player trying to grind value with Dack Fayden or Jace, the Mind Sculptor, Using Chord of Calling to instant speed tutor up Spirit of the Labyrinth can squelch their plans nicely, as they will still have to put back/discard cards even if they draw nothing.
