Sideboard

Previously was an Ur-dragon deck that subs in changelings and "curve ball" lords to build a wide strategy dragon deck instead of tall. However, it has been modified with more low cost dragons to create an aggro deck for chunning out many dragons quickly. It can be modified as fit and i have left many of the old cards in the side/maybe board for consideration. The original concept was quite fun and i highly recommend its concept to anyone who wants a more unique dragon deck.

The deck is broken down into three creature categories:

1) changelings, about a third-half of the creature base falls under this group. Most of which are lower power creatures that have maybe one keyword but are mostly "vanilla" offering generally one or no effects. these guys, with The Ur-Dragon effect can be tossed out quickly to build a "wide" dragon front. We also can take better advantage of this through cards like Sarkhan the Masterless (aka lightning axe anything remotely approaching you) or Cryptic Gateway that require low cost creatures to accelerate

2) The second group consists of a variety of 3-5 mana actual dragons that are utilities for the most part, cards like Immersturm Predator to hit fast and grow, plus hate out GYs, or Parapet Thrasher + Thrakkus the Butcher making those weaker dragons hits painful. It also adds some other dragons from the DnD set for general support Korlessa, Scale Singer and Renari, Merchant of Marvels.

3) The dragon "lords". dragons don't really have many lord like effects (dragons get +X/X or have key word X), but they do have many type based effects, thank you khan's era dragons, that see almost no play (as they require a lot of dragons in play to be useful) Dromoka, the Eternal + Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury + Ojutai, Soul of Winter + Silumgar, the Drifting Death + Atarka, World Render. These guys can work as your lords that immediately turns the vanilla changelings in to board wiping monstrosities. We also have more basic creature support package's in here with cards like Crucible of Fire.

EDIT: The second and third group group can be subbed in and out for the older unique curve balls listed below if desired. The current deck iteration is built to use more main dragons, but its easy to swap back and further depending on what cards you want to play with or your preferred power level/consistency

Alternatively, if you are pushing more changelings, we have our "curve ball" lord group. this is a small section but allows for some very sudden changes in play. We have Slivers, reapers, and warriors, to turn the board on its head. Sliver Overlord + Sliver Hivelord + Reaper King + Najeela, the Blade-Blossom these guys can significantly switch up your changelings further. These will have very situational uses depending on your board state and can result in interesting combos. Using cards like Arcane Adaptation + Maskwood Nexus based on what you have in hand, and how the board is developing, will allow for your non-changeling creatures to pivot and results in some of your token makers becoming even stronger. These two cards are also present to let you better play off cards like Whelming Wave (or other creature based removals etc.

These cards should only be played if you are going for a power move to best catch people off guard, or cheated out via cards like Descendants' Path, call of the kindred or Cryptic Gateway, resulting in the aforementioned "curve ball". In addition, they are excellent magnets for removal so you keep your true power cards (the khan dragons) safe.

If that curve ball section is not desired, it can be easily substituted out for other dragons/removal packages, overall you should still be aiming for an aggro based play style, "dragon weenies" pretty much. The low casting cost of stuff (+plus ur-dragons effect) lets us take advantage of some good wider payoffs like Druids' Repository or Mirror Entity that dragons normally wouldn't run and lets us keep the pressure up.

Key weakness to be wary of will be non-basic land tampering, like any other 5-color deck. but also mass creature interference effects (tax effects, -/- effects). In addition, since its not running many big beater dragons, caution has to be taken against those big beater decks until you get your "lords" up and running

I hope you take interest or enjoy this deck and its more unique twists. feel free to leave suggestions or comments!!!
