About the deck

Hello! and welcome to this EDH deck tech presenting The Mimeoplasm . This commander plays out as an incredibly strong reanimation spell in a reanimation deck. This deck focuses on milling yourself in order to cheat out big creatures into play. The considered best colors gives you a very strong package of ramp, card-advantage, control and winconditions. This deck plays out like a 75% competitive deck, it doesn't include the so called 'feel bad' combo's, such as Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Triskelion , but instead plays more so called 'satisfying' winconditions. If you're interested in a 'budget' competitive version of this deck, check out this version. This deck is pretty good in removing enchantments such as Leyline of the Void and Rest in Peace , with cards like Assassin's Trophy and other cards in the targeted removal section. The most important win conditions and some great synergies will be listed down below:

Win Conditions

• Sacrificing Lord of Extinction with Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord , can be set up by casting Victimize while your graveyard is filled, which can be done really quickly by casting Traumatize .
• Casting The Mimeoplasm and copy Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon and give him atleast 6 +1/+1 counters from another creature, give it haste and swing lethal.
• Casting The Mimeoplasm and copy Gaea's Revenge with 13+ +1/+1 counters from Death's Shadow or Impervious Greatwurm , and swing lethal for 21 CMDR damage. This works even better when Wonder is in the graveyard to give Gaea's Revenge flying.

Notable Synergies

• Narset, Parter of Veils + Windfall , refilling your hand while destroying your opponents' hands.
• Underrealm Lich + Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur / Windfall / Ancient Excavation , for consistent 21+ cards self mill.
• Use The Mimeoplasm to reanimate card:Primespeaker Zegana with 16 +1/+1 counters from Impervious Greatwurm to draw 18 cards!
• Reanimate Kederekt Leviathan with Animate Dead or other type of enchantment reanimation spells, to bounce Animate Dead , which puts Kederekt Leviathan back in your graveyard. This is like a 2 mana cyclonic rift, which you can use as many times as you like. With Necromancy this works even on instant speed.
• Lands such as Cephalid Coliseum , Strip Mine , Waterlogged Grove & Nurturing Peatland have great synergy with Life from the Loam .
• Consecrated Sphinx and Windfall .

Important cards

• Survival of the Fittest , expensive card but it's just perfect for this deck! if you can't afford this card you could replace it with Fauna Shaman .
• Life from the Loam , great card to make sure you hit your lands drops a bit later into the game, it will also accelerate your self-miling.
• Narset, Parter of Veils , Ashiok, Dream Render , great planeswalkers to deny important resources for your opponent while giving you more card advantage.
• Kederekt Leviathan , works like a recurring Cyclonic Rift (which is also in the deck) most of the time with Animate Dead .
• card: Mystics Remora often this card is better than Rhystic Study , because no one can afford to pay 4 even in the lategame.
• Buried Alive , probably the best card in the deck, it will fetch you about anything you want with just one card.
• Eternal Witness will allow you to play your important non-creature cards again, such as Cyclonic Rift or Assassin's Trophy .
• Muldrotha, the Gravetide I really like this card as one of the 99, it's great for bringing the reanimation spells back.
• Memory's Journey great card to protect your combo pieces in your graveyard, but you can also use it to hose someone else's graveyard strategy.

Catergory descriptions

• Lands: The lands in the deck, this are only 34 lands, which is on the low end, but because we run 10 ramping cards and we plan to cheat out our creatures, that makes up for it.
• (Graveyard) Tutors: Normal tutor cards that will search your library for certain cards and graveyard tutors that can find creatures in your deck to put those in the graveyard to reanimate those later.
• Utility cards: Cards that are essential for this deck, these cards will help protecting your game plan and help you win.
• Mill & Card Advantage: This category list cards that mill yourself to gain card advantage, but also cards that can draw you cards, which is essential in any deck.
• Ramp: Cards that will make sure you get enough mana quickly to roll out your game-plan.
• Reanimation: Spells that will cheat out creatures from the graveyard, these cards are essential to our game plan.
• Reanimation Targets: These creatures are normally the reanimation targets and will answer big threats on the table and close out games.
• Targeted Removal: This deck offers a great variety of removal, which is essential to remove threatening enchantments such as Leyline of the Void and Rest in Peace .
• Board Wipes: Sometimes your opponents get out of control, 4 boardwipes should be enough to prevent your opponent from doing that too much. Also Cyclonic Rift can be used to clean the board and to swing lethal often.
