A Message left in the LP Jacket (Primer):

Re-trying out the Esper Wizard/Pirate Shenanigans; It’s the Redux Baby!!! This is the 32nd(ish) attempt of t h i s particular Esper Deck. 62nd overall if my count is correct… Lemmie know, thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I love any & all feedback! On to my regular writings:

The time we faced DOOM

"Operation: DOOMSDAY" is my Ship of Theseus. I’ve experimented with Mono Black both in the late 90’s and as my starter EDH deck when I came back to MtG pre-pandemic. Azorius has been a good fit when it came to being on the same field with CEDH players and their above Level 9 decks (yay power level discussions and such for Rule 0). This would be my third time back using the Partner Pairing of Tymna the Weaver *f-etch* + Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator *f-etch*, let's see if I learned anything.

  • -“Metal Fist Terrorists” :(Needs these cards) Grafdigger's Cage, Grand Abolisher, Siren Stormtamer, Unsettled Mariner, Orcish Bowmasters, Opposition Agent, Delney, Streetwise Lookout, Rev, Tithe Extractor + Teferi, Time Raveler. End Goal: There is only one combo on the setlist and everyone is such a QuickShot these days (wanting to end the game by turn 2 or 3). These delightful Semi-Stax pieces are for those Opponents who like to: -Search their Decks. -Draw. Or -Other annoying things while the main villain comes out with the Combo!

  • - “Rhymes Like Dimes” Copiers + Assists : (Needs these cards) Valley Floodcaller as a Flash Enabler and Mockingbird, Flesh Duplicate, Phyrexian Metamorph as any new Thassa as insurance in 99 in case they wanna get froggy! End Goal: Damn, Opps didn't want you to win normally? Well why not try during their End Step?!?
  • - “DOOMSDAY” The End :(Needs these cards) Doomsday + Thassa's Oracle utilizing any three other devotion to U on board. Choices include: Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator *f-etch*, The Reality Chip, Teferi, Time Raveler, Siren Stormtamer, Unsettled Mariner. Use Necro to find the copiers above and to copy Thassa again or for the first time!!
  • -“Tick, Tick…” Hit it again: :(Needs these cards) Thassa's Oracle using: Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact. End Goal: You know the combo, you love the back up: It’s Thassa’s Oracle!! (With their Copiers as backup, see “Rhymes Like Dimes”!) Use Either/Or with Demonic Consult/Tainted Pact to win the game Buuuuuuuuuuuddy!

    • I would love suggestions on other disgusting insurances for this specific Combo. I need consistent & consistent improvement to actually start getting wins in, especially with the playgroups and shops I apparently go to! I appreciate you all very much for your input!
