Mana rocks Show

One of the biggest discussions about an Azusa deck... HOW MANY LANDS? In my opinion this is really dependent on the style of your Azusa deck as well as the level of your playgroup. My playgroup is very fast paced and sometimes degenerate so I opt for less lands as I'm trying to win before their decks can set up for a combo or a lock. My goal is NOT to try to ramp out 30 lands, it's to ramp just enough to ensure a win. Having extra mana open is usually useless considering what little instant speed interaction we have, so tapping out to play your fatties is acceptable.

Utilities Show

With lots or ramp comes the issue of running out of gas. Draw in this deck is by far the most important thing for leading you to a smooth victory.

Mono green is very susceptible to removal and counter spells so we do what we can for protection.
