BlazinJsin There are some Horde decks floating around. Most people just use basic lands or creatures similar to the tokens, like Walking Corpse for Zombies. A dedicated Horde format, rather than hub, would be nice.)

plakjekaas they are percentages of all decks. But the very fact that no one would play any White draw spells if they didn't have to is a pretty good signifier that the color is struggling.

Read the Bones is in 12% of all decks, btw.

People shouldn't have to work harder, because that means you're playing poorer. Scathe Zombies is worse than Walking Corpse for the very reason that you have to "work harder" (pay more mana) to cast it.

The thing with those cards you mentioned that disrupt the land equilibrium is, from the top:

  1. Path to Exile is not going to a smart cast in the early game most of the time, unless you're in cEDH (in which case you're not going to be playing Cartographer's Hawk )--so it doesn't really put you behind in lands in the time when you actually need to be ramping. Same with Winds of Abandon , if not more so.

  2. Karoo is steadily falling out of favor in EDH, due to the vices of it entering tapped and making you vulnerable to being two-for-one'd with a Ghost Quarter or other.

  3. Guildless Commons is colorless. Nothing uniquely White about that one.

  4. Oath of Lieges is designed specifically as to have no one player be at a land disadvantage during their turn. Unless you flash in a Stoic Farmer with a Vedalken Orrery then you're going to have a hard time making that combo work.

And the issue with all those cards is there's an innate issue with giving lands to your opponent. The reason you're trying to ramp in the first place is that having lands in play is a powerful thing, especially when you have more than your opponent.

I think you have way overcosted this card - Permeating Mass is a 1/3 with the same ability, and only costs . All told, it's a fun, but not particularly powerful, ability.

I'm not entirely sold on Black having such a transformation effect, but I think the argument is there. I might make change this creature's P/T to 2/2, so it matches the traditional zombie token. Then make it cost (That's the same cost as Walking Corpse , and this is, effectively, a vanilla zombie with a slight upside--same cost, but at rare seems perfectly legitimate). If you wanted it to be a bit harder to cast, you could probably go as high as , but I don't think you need to push much beyond that.

I'm also not sure where you got the idea that damage carried over to the copy--damage marked on a creature is not a copiable value.

I don't apear to have Lightning Bolt , is Shock and Lightning Strike decent replacements? For Act of Treason , should I replace it with Volley Veteran ?

I will replace 2 of the 4 Expedite cards with Trumpet Blast . The other 2 Act of Treasons, I might keep. I kind of like them in the deck.

Walking Corpse could be donned by the Shocks, and the Lightning Strikes can replace Corpseweft , Abnormal Endurance and a Dread Wanderer .

I will try and get some of those cards you recommended, like Goblin Bomb or Goblin Bushwhacker.

Fearfactor, it is your deck and you are certainly free to do with it as you please, but I am not following your reasoning. Why not both? Turn 1, Diregraf Ghoul, turn two Graveyard Marshal or Walking Corpse and swing for 2. It puts you way ahead on turn 3 when you play your Death Baron as well (Now you have two 3/3 death touchers or a 3/3 and a 4/3 death toucher). The only downside to the ghoul over the Walking Corpse is that it does not block its first turn (which you don't look to do anyway in an aggressive deck). If your trying to get more into midrange then I see your point (although I would still go with the ghoul over the walking corpse for the open mana), but in an aggro deck I think you would really like your results with an aggressive one drop. Anyway, I'll get off my soap box now. Feel free to try it or to ignore me, and have fun!

David_H18 Definitely gonna see what my LGS has for Graveyard Marshal but I'm not really a fan of Diregraf Ghoul for me it does nothing until turn 2 in which I can play a Walking Corpse or Graveyard Marshal (thanks for this! I have no idea how I missed this card). Probably just me, but thats my reasoning.

hey fearfactor! I would definitely go for Graveyard Marshal over Walking Corpse. Better body and gives you a mana sync. Cool deck!
