Child of Shenanigans

Commander / EDH

Decks that I took inspiration from:

The key components are:

The basic idea is to return Crypt Champion from the graveyard, sacrifice Saffi Eriksdotter targeting Crypt Champion, then recur Crypt Champion when his second ability triggers and so on, so that you have infinite sacrificed creatures for the turn. Next, you play Caller of the Claw (either hard cast or recur, depending on where he be). Now you have infinite 2/2 bears. Victory should be imminent.

The key components are:

The basic idea is bring Angel of Glory's Rise into play, which will recur Azami, Lady of Scrolls and Laboratory Maniac plus some other wizard friends, so you can activate Lady's draw ability and win on the spot.

The key components are:

The cool part of this combo/trick is that it's much harder to disrupt.

I have had my fill of dragons so I'm using Child of Alara as my commander to get access to all the colors I need. I like using Hermit Druid to get the pieces I want in the bin, but I want to keep away from Scion of the Ur-Dragon for now, so my build will be necessarily different (and likely slightly worse because of it), but it's all good.

Some of the key components from all three deck ideas live on in this build. I have Saffi Eriksdotter and Crypt Champion so that I can have them do their dance with Zulaport Cutthroat or Blood Artist on the field, if need be (and if I can pull it off); I have Laboratory Maniac as an 'oh shit' win condition if things go south after Hermit Druid does his thing or I can or as a totally different victory path (thank you Bolshivesky) with Tainted Pact/Demonic Consultation. What is supposed to be the most effective path to victory, however, is the combo that the third deck idea listed is going for: use Necrotic Ooze to play Morselhoarder and Devoted Druid's abilities off each other to then activate Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius infinitely...less easy to disrupt if I can protect getting the Ooze onto the battlefield.

I've tried different variations of the lineup in order to be less scripted and more interactive, but the deck tends to durdle more than it should. I'm now trying to focus on 2 main objectives: assemble my pieces and stop people from stopping me. Cards like Relic of Progenitus and Pernicious Deed are no longer being considered. If all goes as it should, I don't care about your mana rocks or your graveyard (generally) because I've got my own stuff to worry about. Plus I have enough graveyard spot removal/junk to keep other bin-players a little honest with Deathrite Shaman, Faerie Macabre, Memory's Journey (which duals as protection from my stuff getting picked off) and Bojuka Bog.

The biggest struggle I have now is getting the mana right and knowing what I should pick with a turn 2 Intuition.
