The Zur deck everyone used to give me shit for playing Zur, now with all the hate they thought he had.

For a while this Zur deck worked with many many auras, i found that with how much hate my Zur got from my playgroup that moving an an aura less decklist was the strongest option. My playgroup is highly competitive and many of the decks are several hundred plus dollars each.

There are a touch of instant counters, some game changing sorceries and a dozen useful artifacts and tons of enchantments. Since he is a toolbox, there are many different themes going on, from Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond to Archmage Ascension + Dictate of Kruphix and Sphere of Safety + Propaganda + Ghostly Prison + Web of Inertia +Dissipation Field giving me enough wiggle room in much of the time in the early game. Seeing as how competitive my playgroup can be i had to give myself more control with out needing more instants, as they disappear and become useless in the yard: Memory Erosion, Suppression Field, Overburden, Painful Quandary, Rhystic Study, and AEther Barrier all give me sustained control against large scary spells. With Teferi's Veil being the key to protecting Zur.

All the card in the Maybe list are cards I need to acquire, Coastal Piracy would replace where Curiosity was, Enduring Renewal provides a safety net on my own turns while Zur is not Phased out. Mana Maze is a card I desire greater than many others as it provides, in my opinion, greater control against counter (since Zur is White Blue and Black) and that eliminates most of the threats to counting him. Test of Endurance is an awesome alternate win condition.
