Imagine my fingers hovering over my keyboard, jaw hanging open, while I stare blankly at the screen because I'm not sure what to say ...Um, so I did something I never thought I'd do. I built a cEDH deck. This came from a little bit of arm twisting and let's say, encouragement from some friends. I have been playing Magic since 1996 and I've been playing commander since 2017. I have run my mouth about how I'll never play cEDH and why would anybody want to play cEDH and blah blah blah. I typically enjoy high powered/mid-range commander games with plenty of shenanigans, creative deck building, shit talking and fun times with friends. Well, here I am with my foot in my mouth after saying I'd never play cEDH.

I've made a few edits since the intial build. I do enjoy playing this deck from time to time with others that are playing cEDH, but it doesn't come out that often. I'm getting used to piloting it. These types of decks are not fun (IMO) when played against lower powered decks. I've come to the realization that my hatred of cEDH (before I started trying it myself) came from guys at my LGS that would play these super high powered decks against me when I first started playing commander. I would be staxed out of doing anything and it made the game extremely boring and not fun. I still have an extreme hatred of stax to this day. I've been that person playing a casual commander deck when somebody busts out a cEDH deck and dominates the game. It sucks. It's not fun. Don't be that person. You are not cool, you are an asshole. You are not a big badass Magic player when you intentionally play an extremely strong deck against people you know can't match your power.

It's always good to check with your pod on power levels before starting a game so everyone involved has fun!
