Hazezon Tamar Landfall/Slide Control

This deck is built around two cards and an ability: Astral Slide, Holistic Wisdom, and Landfall.

Astral Slide is a huge tempo engine when combined with Life from the Loam and cycling lands. It's used to disrupt the opponent's board, blink utility creatures of your own, and in general just outvalue everything.

Holistic Wisdom is a recycling tool and the main reason I built the deck around ramp and sorceries. Once you have a decent amount of mana, every Rampant Growth effect you draw becomes recursion for spells already cast.

The deck is threat-light and relies on Landfall token armies to provide a general threat with few cards. Hazezon Tamar normally doesn't hit play for a long time, as the Sand Warrior army is plan B as far as ending the game.

With the gradual testing of Kynaios and Tiro of Meletisfoil and Amonkhet's printing of cycling matters, the RWG Astral Slide plan is worse than K&T's 4-color strategy with commander-level support. I'm keeping this list up for the record and to hallmark the core strategy's evolution. Here's a link to the current deck:
