So, what if we took Thrasios/Tymna Blooming Onion, possibly the best deck in cEDH, and took out most of the medium green package and put in red cards, planeswalkers and an extra combo? The result is this, maybe not as good of a deck, but now we can play Pyroblast and Fire Covenant. -shrugs-

Basic gameplan: This deck's core is a pile of the best counterspells and removal in the format, with as many as possible being instants that cost 2 mana or less. We back that up with cards like Drannith Magistrate and Collector Ouphe that interfere with our opponent's gameplan, cards like Compost and Sylvan Library that give us massive card advantage, and our planeswalker package, which does both.

Blooming Onion Engine: This refers to the combination of Ramunap Excavator, Squandered Resources, Summer Bloom, Mystic Sanctuary and the Horizon Lands, e.g. Waterlogged Grove. These cards are all reasonable on their own, but when assembled together they form a very powerful engine that generates an enormous mana and card advantage that can usually be leveraged into winning the game in various ways, such as looping Assassin's Trophy infinitely.

Oracle Consultation: Thassa's Oracle is a ridiculous magic card. Where other decks will use combo loops to mill themselves, we can do it for 1 mana at instant speed with Demonic Consultation (or Tainted Pact). This is generally how we win the game, but it's far from the only way, since people will legitimately play Extract in this format.

Why Prismite? Yes, Prismite is a godawful magic card. But, oddly enough, it's actually the most efficient way to turn infinite colorless mana into infinite colored mana. Grim Monolith and Zirda, the Dawnwaker are good enough on their own in this deck, and Prismite allows the infinite mana they generate together to be turned into a wincon with our Commander, whether drawing our deck for Thassa's Oracle, or just putting a million +1/+1 counters on our creatures, giving them Trample and Haste, and swinging for lethal.

A Note on ad nauseum: ad nauseum is a very powerful way to draw a lot of cards at instant speed. In order to maximize the average amount of cards we can draw with it, we had to reduce the average CMC of our deck, so if you're wondering why a certain card isn't in here, if it costs 3 or more mana, it's because of Ad nauseum.

A Note on Budget: There is no such thing as Budget cEDH. Sorry. Due to the simple fact that I don't have the money for cards like Vampiric Tutor or Underground Sea, those cards aren't in this list. There are a few cards not listed that I just haven't gotten around to buying yet, like Spell Pierce and Lotus Petal. That's on me.
