So Nicol Bolas has sort of become my pet deck. I think this is the one that I'm going to invest the most time and resources into in the long term, and I've been doing a lot of playtesting with it. The newest version of the deck is posted above; it focuses more on interactive threats (like stealing big stuff with Desertion) and utilizing some graveyard recursion (via Animate Dead and Beacon of Unrest) to take advantage of all of the stuff I'll be sending to the graveyard over the course of the game.

One thing to note is that some cards in the deck may be technically sub-optimal (Slave of Bolas, Dark Intimations, etc.) but are included for flavor reasons (and I just plain like them!) So please avoid suggestions aiming to cut the super-flavorful Bolas cards that are currently included if at all possible.

Also, I know this list is missing Polluted Delta - I have one ordered and it's on the way. If you could help me find a land to cut, I would be grateful! (I'm not keen on cutting any more basics, but if you think there are no better options, then suggest a basic)

You could probably cut a pain land for Polluted Delta.

How good are Jace, Unraveler of Secrets and Ob Nixilis Reignited? Both seem sub-optimal. I like Ugin, the Spirit Dragon and the greatest thief in the multiverse Dack Fayden more. Or maybe replace one of them with that Pull from Tomorrow in your Maybeboard.

I'd look into upgrading your Archaeomancer to a Snapcaster Mage, if you feel like spending that kind of money.

With 10 counterspells, Baral, Chief of Compliance would be a good add.

Wayfarer's Bauble might be better as Thought Vessel or Expedition Map to get Reliquary Tower consistently as you want to keep you hand full.

I'm not a huge fan of Dragonlord Silumgar as an opponent can get the thing you stole back, if the stealing was permanent I'd like it more. Duplicant and Noxious Gearhulk would be good replacements.
