Chariot of Victory Discussion

Path of Ancestry is strictly better than Arcane Sanctum, never know when those one or two extra scries will help out! Also, as much as I know it goes against the theme, Swiftfoot Boots or Lightning Greaves would really do work in this deck, letting you swing in with Yennet and provide her with protection the turn she comes in. There are a few other cheap haste-granting equipment with odd costs (Chariot of Victory, Strider Harness,Sword of Vengeance), but they don't come with the protective abilities.

Hey Walrighti, +1!
Congrats on your first deck! You have a lot of fun cards in here and it looks great! I imagine you want to tune and make it even more efficient so here are some ideas...
Add 3 categories: #Combo, #Lifegain, and #Evasion; and then sort your maybeboard the same way you've done your mainboard to easily rank your choices within a category (By "combo" I mean all your "if-then" cards like Trudge Garden that are slower and don't work by themselves). Remove #Creatures (most of them are #Combo).
Avoid most cards above 4 cmc... Willowdusk is fast and fragile, so play into that... Also, prioritize cards that can do 2 or more things or that give value on ETB... If you have pet cards that don't really fit and that hurt to cut, put them in a "I'll build that theme later" list.
-1 Pelakka Wurm
-1 Ezzaroot Channeler ... cut the fatties.
-1 Decree of Pain ... too slow
-1 Bow of Nylea ... meh
-1 Sangromancer ... amazing card but doesn't trigger when you need it to.
-1 Venser's Journal ... also amazing, but too conditional for this build
-1 Ranger's Path ... all your ramp should be on turn 2
-1 Temple of the False God ... this card is almost never good
+1 Devoted Druid ... this card is a beast
+1 Talisman of Resilience ... #Ramp
+1 Llanowar Elves ... #Ramp... the elves enable Willowdusk combos on turn 3.
+1 Viridian Joiner ... #Ramp... #Combo
+1 Killing Wave
+1 Massacre Girl ... #Wipe
+1 Beast Within ... #Removal
+1 Golgari Charm ... #Evasion
~1 Rancor ... Trample and haste are important... #Evasion
~1 Destined ... the choices are really good.
+1 Soul Channeling ... #Combo with Willowbark and stick to the board...
~1 Phyrexian Processor ... fun?
~1 Lurking Evil ... maybe?
~1 Solidarity of Heroes ... #Combo
~1 Ooze Flux ... tokens at instant speed?
~1 Retribution of the Ancients ... removal?
+1 Thought Gorger ... (leaves)
+1 Return of the Wildspeaker ... #Draw
+1 Triskelion ... #Combo
+1 Nighthawk Scavenger ... #Fatty
...Always play at least 10 ramp spells under 3 cmc.
...Playtest and make sure Willowbark consistently makes a fatty (with evasion) before turn 6-7.
Happy building :)

It wouldn't let me suggest all of them, so ignore this redo.
Stonehorn Dignitary, Solemn Simulacrum, Swiftfoot Boots, Lightning Greaves, Strider Harness, Chariot of Victory, Haunted Cloak, Ring of Valkas, Strionic Resonator, Magewright's Stone, Illusionist's Bracers, Lithoform Engine and Flickerwisp.

Also, here are some suggestions. (Sorry if I mentioned some you included! This is a big list!)

Hey there! This deck looks sweet! In the way of recommendations, Crystalline Giant seems like it would be awesome in this deck. Chariot of Victory and Haunted Cloak both give you lots of keywords, notably a few that don't show up in white that much, and Concerted Effort would help you keep some keywords on all your creatures during your opponents turns. This deck looks very fun and awesome! Notably, Worldslayer always makes me happy (and it actually has synergy in this deck!). Very neat!

Your list is coming together. Personally, I feel like you need a few more lands. Your ramp is good, but not good enough to drop below the 35-38 land recommendation.
One thing that might be fun is to work in more creatures with First Strike to take even more advantage of the mass Deathtouch. Not a ton of good creatures (i.e. efficient Rares) in these colors that are also Party Members but there are some. Perhaps two or three things like Bladed Pinions, Sword of Vengeance, and Chariot of Victory? Chariot is perticularly good since the Trample means you can assign one damage to the blocker and the rest tramples over.

I ran a similar deck a couple months ago, but I cut all the hydra line. I ran 8-9 tutors, and a line up of elf mana dorks. Tutors and ramp so good here. Perplex is a great card here. It is a 3 drop counter that also lets you tutor for your infinite mana enchantments. Chariot of Victory is also great, becauses it's another copy of greaves that gives your Commander first strike to pair with that deathtouch. Nasty! I love Zaxara. My deck killed turns 6-8 pretty consistently. Just a matter of getting infinite mana and a good draw spell! Great deck!

Came by this deck while looking for budget ideas for my own Gwyn deck.
I'd say, leave the deck be if it's already doing alright in your meta and you're having fun with it. There are some things that stand out to me though:
You don't have boardwipes in your deck. These will help a lot in surviving the first 7 turns of the game, something you say you have issues with. Mythos of Snapdax, Divine Reckoning and Single Combat are my suggestions. At the bare minimum, get four boardwipes. You can cut some of your creatures for these. Don't forget about single target removal either, I put some in the suggestions below.
Looking at your mana curve: it's quite low, which is a good thing. This means you can cut down on some of the basic lands and go from 40 to something like 36/37. If you can, replace them with more signets or talismans, but cards like Boros Cluestone, Commander's Sphere and Darksteel Ingot are fine too. Try to go for eight mana sources which are not lands.
When selecting creatures to cut to make room for other cards, decide which cards will have an impact when you play them and which won't. As you play the deck, you'll learn more about cards which work and which don't (that's the fun of deckbuilding). I suspect Rimrock Knight won't have much of an impact (You'd rather have another equipment instead), Crashing Drawbridge can be replaced with an equipment which gives haste. In my own Gwyn deck I got rid of Bloodcrazed Paladin because I held on to it instead of playing it. Ardenvale Tactician doesn't look like it'll do much either. I think you'll be fine with somewhere around 25 creatures to make room for more equipment and removal.
You can ditch a card like Rowan, Fearless Sparkmage as well, you can replace the +1 ability with equipment. Don't play the planeswalker for the ult, as your opponents have four whole turn cycles to find an answer for it.
I've listed some more (budget) suggestions below, you'll figure it out: Evolving Wilds
Inquisitor's Flail (use only with first strike/double strike or when you have a way to make your creature indestructible)
Glaring Spotlight (I think it might be a good card as a finisher, but haven't won a game with it yet)
