Chariot of Victory

Artifact — Equipment

Equipped creature has first strike, trample, and haste.

Equip (: Attach this to target creature you control. Equip only as a sorcery. This enters the battlefield unattached and stays on the battlefield if the creature this card is attached to leaves the battlefield.)

If your commander is a Planeswalker you are going to need a way to protect it. I think you need a few more creatures, probably more with trample or at least bigger than what your opponents usually play. Deus of Calamity, Primeval Protector

If a creature is equipped with something that gives them Trample or Haste (like Chariot of Victory or Sword of Vengeance) you can target them with Misc's +1 ability.

Red spells like Act of Treason would allow you to steal a creature, attack and then sacrifice the creature with Minsc's second ability.

Longshot Squad and Tuskguard Captain both give bonuses to creature with all those +1 counters Minsc can throw around

I would trade out 3 or 4 lands for something else. Your deck runs cheap on mana.

This looks like a very fun and tidy build! Who doesn't love a good ability salad?

One thing that occurred to me is that you might possibly like Oketra the True over Tajic, Blade of the Legion. Still four mana, still indestructible, but she also adds Double Strike to the mix - sure, Cat Mom can only attack if you have three other creatures, but Tajic's only really worthwhile when you have two other creatures to attack with, anyway. And thanks to the tokens she can provide, you even get another form of access to vigilance, too!

I was also skeptical about having four copies of Eater of Virtue - I can see how it fits, but drawing more than one of a legendary permanent during the game can be a real liability. You might find it worthwhile to cut one or two copies for something like Haunted Cloak, Chariot of Victory or Mask of Avacyn?

I'd recommend adding some equipment that will give your voltron more sustainability. Things like Basilisk Collar, Champion's Helm, Darksteel Plate, Commander's Plate, Whispersilk Cloak, and Chariot of Victory.

Quietus Spike, Bow of Nylea, Sword of the Animist, Trailblazer's Boots could be considered as well.

Sword of Vengeance, Chariot of Victory and Archetype of Courage can protect Adeline from deathtouchers. The first two push through damage over chump blockers too. Reconnaissance is another option which gives your creatures pseudo-vigilance at the very least.

Idol of Oblivion and Welcoming Vampire is additional, flavourful card draw if you need more

Path of Ancestry is strictly better than Arcane Sanctum, never know when those one or two extra scries will help out! Also, as much as I know it goes against the theme, Swiftfoot Boots or Lightning Greaves would really do work in this deck, letting you swing in with Yennet and provide her with protection the turn she comes in. There are a few other cheap haste-granting equipment with odd costs (Chariot of Victory, Strider Harness,Sword of Vengeance), but they don't come with the protective abilities.

Hey Walrighti, +1!

@your post

Congrats on your first deck! You have a lot of fun cards in here and it looks great! I imagine you want to tune and make it even more efficient so here are some ideas...

Add 3 categories: #Combo, #Lifegain, and #Evasion; and then sort your maybeboard the same way you've done your mainboard to easily rank your choices within a category (By "combo" I mean all your "if-then" cards like Trudge Garden that are slower and don't work by themselves). Remove #Creatures (most of them are #Combo).

Avoid most cards above 4 cmc... Willowdusk is fast and fragile, so play into that... Also, prioritize cards that can do 2 or more things or that give value on ETB... If you have pet cards that don't really fit and that hurt to cut, put them in a "I'll build that theme later" list.

(All under $3)

+1 Devoted Druid ... this card is a beast

+1 Rampant Growth

+1 Arcane Signet

+1 Golgari Signet

+1 Talisman of Resilience ... #Ramp

+1 Elves of Deep Shadow

+1 Elvish Mystic

+1 Fyndhorn Elves

+1 Llanowar Elves ... #Ramp... the elves enable Willowdusk combos on turn 3.

+1 Marwyn, the Nurturer

+1 Viridian Joiner ... #Ramp... #Combo

+1 Boompile ... its a gem (hint: don't tap it on your turn) +1 Nightmare Unmaking

+1 Killing Wave

+1 Massacre Girl ... #Wipe

+1 Kenrith's Transformation

+1 Beast Within ... #Removal

+1 Swiftfoot Boots

+1 Inspiring Call

+1 Oblivion's Hunger

+1 Rush of Vitality

+1 Sheltering Word

~1 Slippery Bogbonder

+1 Golgari Charm ... #Evasion

+1 Haunted Cloak

+1 Chariot of Victory

+1 Charge Through

~1 Tuskguard Captain

~1 Rancor ... Trample and haste are important... #Evasion

~1 Destined ... the choices are really good.

+1 Deepwood Ghoul

+1 Mischievous Poltergeist

+1 Soul Channeling ... #Combo with Willowbark and stick to the board...

~1 Phyrexian Processor ... fun?

~1 Lurking Evil ... maybe?

~1 Solidarity of Heroes ... #Combo

~1 Ooze Flux ... tokens at instant speed?

~1 Retribution of the Ancients ... removal?

+1 Garruk, Primal Hunter

+1 Mindless Automaton

+1 Thought Gorger ... (leaves)

+1 Life's Legacy

+1 Return of the Wildspeaker ... #Draw

~1 Essence Harvest

+1 Bloodspore Thrinax

+1 Triskelion ... #Combo

+1 Nighthawk Scavenger ... #Fatty

...Always play at least 10 ramp spells under 3 cmc.

...Playtest and make sure Willowbark consistently makes a fatty (with evasion) before turn 6-7.

Here's another Willowdusk thread.

Happy building :)
