This is a more budget approach to Atraxa, but she can still be a complete powerhouse if you let her. I'm going to break down a few of the main strategies for her as well as some good upgrades.

Strategies

-Overpower your opponents with creatures that have loads of +1/+1 counters, most of the creatures synergizing with this, giving your creatures with counters flying, or making them even more powerful.

-Using artifacts and lands to build a fast mana advantage, allowing you to put bigger threats out faster. Cards like Everflowing Chalice and Astral Cornucopia use counters to keep track of how much mana they tap for as well, letting us exploit that for lots of free mana

-This isn't a strategy i personally like or would use, using infect creatures or cards like Triumph of the Hordes can quickly overwhelm your opponents, as once you get a few infect counters in, you can proliferate more onto them until they have 10. There aren't any infect cards in this deck, but it could easily be changed to include this, even if you only add the Triumph of the Hordes as a last resort card.

Strengths/Weaknesses

  • This deck is fairly budget, at around $100 including Atraxa if you exclude some of the odd expensive cards like Wasteland and Ancestral Visions.

  • You can quickly get out of hand once you get Atraxa out, using her to attack alone is very effective, not to mention proliferating at the end of your turn can be insane with jsut a few of the right cards out.

  • This deck is budget, meaning not the best of the best cards are in here. Feel free to add in some of the more expensive cards if you'd like, such as AEther Vial maybe, or tutors or fetch lands.

  • This deck can be pretty vulnerable to wrath spells, and removal in general, since you can spend awhile building up your board state, to have it get removed can be pretty frustrating. Running a counterspell or two would not be a bad idea, but that is up to you.

Upgrades This deck would benefit by adding in an Aether Vial , as it synergizes very well with being able with being able to put creatures out for free, and being able to add more than one charge counter per turn. Pairing this with Power Conduit as well as Ancestral Vision and Lotus Bloom allows you to be able to add counters with proliferate, and subtract them with the Power Conduit. This can be pretty cool, as you can also remove a +1/+1 counter from a creature to give your Astral Cornucopia or your Everflowing Chalice charge counters. This deck would also benefit from more planeswalkers, since you can build up loyalty counters like crazy. Some good inclusions are: Sorin, Grim Nemesis , Sorin Markov , Tamiyo, Field Researcher , Elspeth, Sun's Champion , Vraska, Relic Seeker , Jace Beleren , Jace, the Mind Sculptor Liliana of the Veil , and Ajani, Mentor of Heroes . Some of these are obviously more expensive than others, so this largely depends on your preferences and budget.

All over, I'd say this deck is fairly good considering the price point. There will always be improvements you can make, and you can always add the more expensive cards in over time. I hope you have fun playing this if you decide to!!! Comment any ideas or improvements you may have for it, I'd appreciate it!
