This is my Nekusar, the Mindrazer deck. It is now my most favorite deck and I intend on eventually foiling most of this out. With the exception of some of the land$ lol.

Primarily this is a deck that seeks to control some of what is going on in the game, and hide behind its fort cards until it can ping you to death with Nekusar's ability or others similar through repeatedly wheeling your hands away and making you draw more and more cards.

My finishing combos:

Helm of the Ghastlord + Nekusar, the Mindrazer - oh those cards you drew? Discard them! And oh look I get to draw.

Elder Mastery + Nekusar, the Mindrazer Helm of the Ghastlord's discard on overload!

I also love to cast Cyclonic Rift overloaded just before dropping down a Wheel of Fortune style effect. And if Nekusar is out with the Helm or Mastery on him? You are pretty much done unless you can top deck and instant to break the cycle of pain, but you better hope it has split second or I have no counters in my hand.

This is a fun and evil deck so far, much better than my first iteration which was wheels and howling mines and megrim style effects. Not enough to protect me before I could get online and I was an easy target.

Give me a comment on how you like, or dislike, this deck. Any thoughts on how you might make it better? I'd love to hear all thoughts. I have some transmute style counterspells in my maybe list and am thinking those might help for digging later for a wheel to finish off the field. What do you think? Worth trying or not as efficient as counterspells as they usual ones?

So I got to play with this and it performed quite well winning me my first game with this new iteration.

A mistake in play should have cost me the game but no one took that opportunity, thank goodness, but otherwise the deck worked very well.

Observations:

Forced Fruition can be a fun card. However I cast it once with my Wheel of Fortune in hand and Helm of the Ghastlord on Nekusar. Needless to say I drew a couple wheels, one of which was Winds of Change which if I had that mana left from Forced Fruition's cost on the same turn I could have killed two opponents as I had drawn 28 cards from the Helm with Wheel of Fortune. Instead each of those two opponents made the end game very doubtful to go in my favor and almost had me. But in the end FF saved me from being countered at the end as my final opponent would have killed himself countering my wheel. Which he did anyway because he was going to die to my wheel if he didn't.

Helm of the Ghastlord. Oh Em Gee ... I love this card! This was my all star! Once on Nekusar it was so much fun!! No one kept what they drew from any draw effects or draw steps, and I got lots of free draws. Only downside is that my drawing when they take damage is mandatory. I could see decking myself out or getting caught in some sticky situations. Equip to Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind and you just get stuck in a loop of I drew a card so you take damage, you were dealt damage I have to draw, I drew a card so take damage, you took damage so I have to draw ... and so on. But I think still good enough to keep in the deck, hands down!

More to come if I can get out to play this week.
