Glimmerpoint Stag Discussion

Triton on Upcycling: Budget Triad of Fates Deck

It's a tad hard to tell what you want to do, I'm guessing WB flicker?

Ghostway is another Eerie Interlude, might be pretty pricey though from what I remember.

Oe thing I noticed is that there are many good EtB cards, and some means to flicker them, but there are quite a lot of high-cost cards in the deck and not much mana ramp. I'd recommend cutting some redundant effects or cards that don't do much for their CMC for ramp cards like Orzhov Signet and the other artifacts with Orzhov in their name, there's quite a bit of artifact out there so I'd advise around eight artifacts that ramp, including any current ones.

One thing White has a lot of are creatures that flicker other cards when they enter the battlefield, like Glimmerpoint Stag, Felidar Guardian, Restoration Angel, and Flickerwisp. Conjurer's Closet is a worthy include too, and Solemn Simulacrum along with Kor Cartographer help ramp you up.

Hope this helps!

Funkydiscogod i originally had Glimmerpoint Stag but swapped to flickerwisps (might try out what you suggested).

i threw the idea about the pacts but currently through play testing i already get Glorious End and Hive Mind frequently together, let alone if somehow i am not able to draw Hive Mind i can still use glorious end to stop a opponent and not have to waste my turn on upkeep.

ETB drawbacks could work really well in here, if i needed to rely less on the sundial i could throw in Torpor Orb, and Eater of Days, for that flying trample.

I'd vote for Glimmerpoint Stag instead of Galepowder Mage, so it can hit any permanent.

Vanish into Memory could be an amusing 1-of, but you'd have to have to Sundial on your upkeep if you didn't want to discard.

Slaughter Pact, Pact of Negation (all the pacts, really) can combo with Hive Mind, and you can always use the Sundial if you don't want to pay.

What is your opinion on cards with prohibitive ETB drawbacks? Something like Leveler can give you a cheap 10/10. Or, maybe Ovinomancer?

I've been considering building a deck like this and including some BA eldrazis. You might consider adding some manifest cards, as well as some flicker junk. If you have a morph/manifested creature on the field and it exiles, when it re-enters it comes in face-up.

Manifest

Cloudform, Lightform, Soul Summons, Write into Being, Whisperwood Elemental, Wildcall

Flicker

Cloudshift, Ghostly Flicker, Glimmerpoint Stag, Deadeye Navigator, Eerie Interlude, Conjurer's Closet

Triton on Go Go Brago

I actually have a Brago deck that I built a while back, and happy to steer you towards it if you want! I like cards like Felidar Guardian and Glimmerpoint Stag a lot, because you can double the EtBs of your creatures. Also Knight-Captain of Eos is better than Attended Knight imo since more tokens. No Solemn Simulacrum? Also surprised that Swords to Plowshares isn't in the deck.

Also, if you want more infinite combos, mana rocks + Strionic Resonator create infinite Brago blinks if he lands because you can blink the resonator and rocks, then copy Brago's ability an infinite number of times.

Protecting Brago is very important too, and Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots, and Whispersilk Cloak ensure he stays protected.

Hope this helps!

I really like the idea of the deck; +1. That being said, I have a couple of suggestions:

You should be running Flickerwisp over Glimmerpoint Stag

@dlamars

I had Man-o'-War in the deck originally, but replaced it with Rishadan Brigand, do you think I should redo the change?

Linvala, the Preserver Is amazing value! I'll find a spot for her.

I completely agree with Knight of the White Orchid for Kor Cartographer, I kinda forgot about that card back when I played Standard.

I haven't paid too much attention to the amount of creatures that could trigger Mentor of the Meek, but I'll consider him since I do feel as though this deck could use a bit more card draw.

Cataclysmic Gearhulk is really cool! I like the EtB, since I feel as though this deck could use a bit more boardwipes, will consider him in the 99.

I like Myr Battlesphere since while I agree it is quite spendy, as you mentioned, it does serve as a win condition by attacking with a bunch of Myr and burning your opponent for a ton of damage. Deadeye Navigator is a very powerful blink card, and I am quite hesitant to take him out. I do think Mistmeadow Witch is a tad too slow for this deck, I'll take her out for Glimmerpoint Stag. I think Call for Unity is good because when you blink creatures with counters on them, the counters disappear, so I think that giving up some speed for more synergy is fine.

Thanks for the suggestions and upvote!
