Galea, Kindler of Hope is a deadly Voltron commander that offers a huge advantage by casting equipment from the top of the library and equipping them for free. By using a combination of top deck manipulation and reducing the casting cost of equipment, Galea can chain together powerful equipment to become lethal out of nowhere. This deck features a lot of powerful equipment, several powerful spells, and fast mana in the form of auras, mana rocks, and ramp, this deck seeks to creature an overwhelming threat and maybe finish the rest of the table with a combo.

Because creatures typically can't be cast with Galea's ability the creatures in this deck either have to get around this, or be worth the risk. Most importantly among these creatures are creatures like Etherium Sculptor and Foundry Inspector reduce the casting cost of artifacts, which can make casting equipment from the top of the library free and can set up infinite combos with Aetherflux Reservoir + Sensei's Divining Top . Creatures like Stoneforge Mystic and Puresteel Paladin can fundamentally warp how the game works around them, and creatures like The Reality Chip and Halvar, God of Battle   can be cast from the top of the library with Galea's ability.

Most of the spells found in this deck serve a specific function. Tutors that can put things like The Reality Chip on top of the library can change the outcome of the game, and often serve to reset the library after running out of equipment on top. A small amount of answer cards like Cyclonic Rift, Fierce Guardianship, and Teferi's Protection can provide answers to problems long enough for Galea to finish the job.

The small number of enchantments this deck runs are important ramp and draw engines. Utopia Sprawl and Wild Growth can be cast from the top of the library with Galea's ability, and their extremely efficient and resilient ramp options. Sylvan Library is especially important to this deck because it can filter equipment to the top of the library. Mystic Remora, Rhystic Study and Smothering Tithe are some of the most punishing tax effects.

Artifacts are at the core of the deck itself. Fast mana like Mana Crypt, Sol Ring, Mana Vault, and Mox Opal can accelerate the deck and get Galea down early, while cost reducers like Semblance Anvil and Helm of Awakening can reduce the casting cost of equipment once Galea is in play. Artifacts like Scroll Rack and Sensei's Divining Top can reset the top of the library and scroll rack can even put equipment in your hand back on top of your library.

Equipment provide the backbone of the deck, turning Galea into an unstoppable force while at the same time allowing the deck to churn through large amounts of cards at the same time. Protection providing equipment like Sword of Feast and Famine, Sword of Hearth and Home, Commander's Plate, and Sword of Fire and Ice make Galea nearly unstoppable, preventing colored creatures and spells from interacting with her. While these equipment interfere with the colored synergies of the deck, they provide evasion as well as powerful abilities that can warp the game around them. Equipment like Hammer of Nazahn, Robe of Stars, and Swiftfoot Boots can protect Galea from removal. Finally Equipment like Blackblade Reforged, Colossus Hammer Thran Power Suit, and Nettlecyst can give Galea the power she needs to close out games.

Galea is a wonderful commander with a lot of potential. I think she is the best Voltron commander ever. The ability for the deck to pivot between being a combat forward deck and a combo centric deck while not taking away from either as a whole has fascinated and impressed me.
