How exactly does Rest in peace prevent an Edict effect? If you mean Grave Pact, sure. But it doesn't stop any edicts.

You might consider Robe of Stars for the best protection around, as well as Teferi's Protection. You can't be too protective of a voltron commander.

YOu might consider other cards that lean on the single-creature strategy, such as Single Combat and Divine Reckoning.

sassybill1540 :) Thanks for taking a look at my desk. I actually started making some changes late last night before I went to bed. I'll try to answer your questions and suggestions as best as I can!

Robe of Stars & Godsend - I haven't had to much trouble with it. A lot of it has come down to me not having protection from white in my hand when I had them. However, I tend to favor Robe of Stars just due to the phase ability to dodge wipes or other things. The Godsend I tend to agree with you on. I was thinking of cutting that card while looking through the deck last night.

Odric, Lunarch Marshal - I actually just cut that card last night from my physical deck. As for the Raksha Golden Cub part I originally kept him just to buff the tokens if I got lucky and got him out. Just equip him with something easy and let him be an anthem as it were. However, after thinking about it you may be right. I might be better off slotting another creature or another weapon in his slot.

Blackblade Reforged & Colossus Hammer - I was curious if you kept those out of your deck due to it making Kemba a bigger threat/target. The extra damage from it seems good but I could see where you are coming from. Perhaps another weapon with more utility would be better in those spots. The hammer I kept in there originally just because of the ways I had to cheat equip costs in the deck. But, it may be better to swap it too for a utility weapon.

Mask of Avacyn - Your take on this surprised me. I was looking for anything I could find that would protect Kemba. Hexproof, indestructible really anything! I hadn't considered swapping the greaves around like that. I forgot about the equip cost being 0 rather than 1 like the swiftfoot boots. I could possibly make that change as well.

Paradise Mantle - This one is surprisingly good just for two reasons for me. It's an early piece of equipment like you were suggesting and the original plan I had for it was to put it on Raksha. However, if I didn't have him I usually just put it on one of my cat tokens and turned them into a mana rock.

Mentor of the Meek & Welcoming Vampire I had considered finding a spot to put Mentor in. I kind of like Welcoming just due to it being a nice quick 'free' trigger. But, I could use Mentor to help with the draw really. I could easily find a spot to free up.

And, yes Ashnod's Altar and Martyr's Cause have helped A LOT with mine. The altar is great because then you're quite literally generating a sacrifice sol ring every turn depending on your equipment count. More cats is more mana! More mana is more swords! The Martyr's is great for the items I mentioned for the big damage that you need to stop. I've always called it the "Get down Mr. President" enchantment. I highly recommend it in any Kemba deck.

I like that you're utilizing the cat tokens so much. My list just durdles with them as blockers and not much else.

How often do Robe of Stars and Godsend nonbo with all of your pro-white? I tried Godsend shortly after it was released and wasn't satisfied with the results, but Robe seems VERY good.

A lot of your deck has the standard Kemba stuff, which is fantastic. Your lands, sorceries, enchantments, and instants are all worthy and I couldn't think of anything to replace from those.

Creatures and artifacts had some thing I would suggest reconsidering due to CMC or general clumsiness (note I may be missing something, so take anything I say with a grain of salt):

Odric, Lunarch Marshal may be kind of meh, but you play into your tokens a lot more so it may be more helpful. Same with Raksha Golden Cub I love him, but he's very expensive.

Blackblade Reforged is comparable to Strata Scythe and either one can be better than the other in certain situations. I'm not convinced "giant buff with no evasion or anything else" is good enough for Kemba players, however. On that note, Colossus Hammer.

Mask of Avacyn just feels clunky with the equip costs, the shroud from Lightning Greaves is annoying to work around sometimes but it feels so good to turn two Greaves, turn three Kemba, attack. With Leonin Shikari you can always shuffle them around at instant speed.

Paradise Mantle is an early equipper, but how often do you find yourself using it for the mana ability? Something like Shuko may better serve purposes if you're just after a cheap equip.

Depending on how big your tokens get, Mentor of the Meek is a great repeatable way to draw cards, since Welcoming Vampire has the once per turn rider.

I love your use of the token sacrificers like Ashnod's Altar and Martyr's Cause specifically, I may have to test those out soon!

LunchBox1211 on Who controls equipment abilities?

There are several questions here. If need be, I can make multiple posts. For all of these, picture the following: I have a creature with an equipment. My opponent gains control of said creature, and attacks.

If I control an equipment that is attached to a creature an opponent controls, who controls attack/damage triggers and abilities that trigger at the beginning of combat? My guess would be that whoever owns the equipment, but I'm not entirely sure.

Who can activate Robe of Stars's Astral Projection if it is equipped to a creature an opponent controls? Again, I control the equipment, but not the creature.

How does Conqueror's Flail's 2nd ability work if I control it, but an opponent controls the creature it is attached to?

Cards that I am specifically wondering about: Argentum Armor, Explorer's Scope, Infiltration Lens, Sword of Fire and Ice as well as all the other "Sword of's",

+1 Nice list, love the name. Some suggestions if I may:

It's imperative to get Kaalia out as soon as possible and start swinging. That being said I would suggest removing all of your three mana and higher rocks for two mana rocks. Smothering Tithe is a great card, but it's slow in a Kaalia build and is always a lightning rod for removal. I recently pulled it from my own list and haven't missed it since.

Seems like you have plenty of angels/ dragons/ demons to maybe not run out of gas, but I have to wonder with only 4 draw spells? Maybe the amount of tutors you have can help make up for this? Either way, I would recommend adding more draw spells to keep the hand full.

A couple of these are in you maybeboard, but some cards you might wanna try: Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx / Burning-Rune Demon / Necropotence / Syphon Mind / Harvester of Souls / Robe of Stars / Darksteel Plate / Serra's Emissary / Whispersilk Cloak / Teferi's Protection / Strionic Resonator.

Feel free to take a look at my Kaalia build on my page if your interested. Always love seeing another Kaalia build. Cheers.

I really like this as a budget list, it plays very nice with the 0-drop equipments you already have. I think that if you were to add some of the more expensive options for the deck, Bonesplitter could be replaced by Bloodforged Battle-Axe. Commander's Plate is a very nice (but kind of expensive) inclusion, but I'm not sure what you'd replace it with. As far as creatures go, Leonin Shikari is a great addition because of equipment like Robe of Stars that allow your commander to evade incoming kill spells. Halvar, God of Battle  Flip also helps because getting double strike as consistent as possible seems important for the deck. Overall I really like this deck the way it is and it doesn't seem like it needs many of the expensive includes to be a powerful and fun casual deck.

This is a very nice Kaalia of the Vast build. Quite possibly one of the best I've seen on the site actually. Well done. I notice quite a few similarities with my own build Fear, Faith, and Fury. I think the only difference really being mine is possibly a bit more defensive while yours is a bit more offensive.

I played a game last night where I was able to steal an opponents Bolas's Citadel with my Hellkite Tyrant and then proceeded to win the game with it because I already had my own Necropotence in play. Great combo those two. Now begins the painstaking process of deciding what to cut from my list to add a Bolas's Citadel.

A couple cards you're running I've been wanting to playtest myself (Liesa, Forgotten Archangel / Lyra Dawnbringer / Sower of Discord / Utvara Hellkite) how's your experience been with these? Have you found them to be worth a slot in the deck?

Now some recommendations if I may... you seem to be running quite a few cards that will protect Kaalia of the Vast, but one vital one your missing is Robe of Stars. This is essentially a repeatable Teferi's Protection specially for your commander, and with the amount of ramp cards you have, shouldn't ever be an issue to activate. Seems like you may be somewhat lacking in card draw (personal preference probably, I tend to run more than most ppl), but some additions you might like Harvester of Souls / Indulgent Tormentor / Syphon Mind / The Immortal Sun. I also noticed in a previous comment you removed some extra combat spells, but some nice extra combat on a stick would come in the form of Scourge of the Throne.

Apologies for the long comment, this is just one of my all time favorite commanders, so I get excited whenever I see another great list. Again, very well done. Cheers

Hey, welcome to TappedOut. Good start and version of Tuvasa, nice Sylvan Library.

You're deck doesn't have a Commander yet. In the deck editor add the CMDR tag to Tuvasa the Sunlit text.

1x Tuvasa the Sunlit *CMDR*

When you save and return to the deck Tuvasa will be the Commander, in it's own category and have a card image.

Ethereal Armor, Aqueous Form, Flickering Ward, Rancor are some one drop auras to consider adding. Ward is nice because you can bounce it to cast again and the color protection you choose doesn't cause auras of that color that are enchanted to the creature to be destroyed. That's an errata that's been made to original printing of the card. Sigarda's Aid is another powerful one drop enchantment that gives auras flash; very good with Flickering Ward. Shield of the Oversoul, Steel of the Godhead and Favor of the Overbeing are more auras to consider adding since they give Tuvasa +2/+2 and two other abilities, one is evasion.

Setessan Champion is a good Enchantress because it grows in power and also triggers not on cast, but when an enchantment you control ETB. Grasp of Fate is powerful removal in multiplayer Commander; a supercharged Oblivion Ring. Robe of Stars phases and phasing is powerful with auras because when you phase out auras they return attached to the creature unaffected when they phase back in at your next untap step. Robe can be repeatable protection from anything for Tuvasa and all auras that are attached to her.

Some changes to consider:

Good luck with your deck.
