I hope you enjoy saying "Tap Anje, discard insert card here, untapping Anje due to madness, then drawing" a lot

Originally the pre-con, this deck has been taken and upgraded to become a real powerhouse, able to win as early as turn 2-3!

Here's a quick breakdown of the categories, and a few thoughts:

Madness: Our bread and butter, these cards are our 'filter', in other words, we can can quickly rummage through the deck to the important cards.

Burn: A category that really just means "damage to creatures and/or players", either through true burn effects or lifedrain effects. Could probably split this category up, but eh.

Draw: Currently only includes Merchant of the Vale, as Anje herself should be handling this.

Removal: Cards that are mostly dedicated to removing threats and shutting down win-cons. Whilst there may be several other cards in the deck that can do this, these are the noteworthy lot

Lands: Self explanitory really

Tutors: These will allow us to either get Worldgorger Dragon into bin, or our reanimators into hand. Cards such as Wishclaw Talisman are risky, however we should only be using these once we have a win + protection available to us.

Rituals and Ramp: Simple really, just cards that go mana positive for the most part.

Protection: These cards help protect our win-con once we go for it. As we have a fragile win-con, these are invaluable to our overall success.

Reanimators: Key piece in our win-con, and are only in their own category to highlight the fragile nature of this build. Three chances, excluding the main key piece, Worldgorger Dragon.

Win-Con: These cards are what enable our win conditions. See 'Strategy' for a breakdown. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Anje can win through several methods:

Method 1

This allows for an infinite amount of damage to occur, as Worldgorger Dragon + an animate effect will flicker everything indefinitely, until we target another creature with the animate. Once we generate infinite mana (as we can tap lands in-between the flicker), we dump it all into a big x card, killing everyone at once.

Method 1.5

Similar to above, however with Anje, Maid of Dishonor alongside Worldgorger Dragon, we generate enough Blood to drain the table, as the she will bypass her restriction due to each ETB being a new instance. Alternatively with Bloodhall Priest constantly being flickered, infinite drain to our opponents can occur, so long as we are hellbent.

(UPDATED) Method 1.5.5

Another thing we can loop with WGD, is looping any form of lifedrain/player damage spell using Revolutionist, to consistently loop it back into our hand via his ETB effect.

Method 2

Should our Worldgorger combo be shut out from us, using these two cards together will allow for us to generate infinite mana, provided there are enough artifacts on field, and no 'ping on sacrifice' cards under our oppenents control (such as Mayhem Devil). With that mana we can then follow through with a big x spell as initially planned, or Revolutionist, or even the new Anje, Maid of Dishonor!

- Doomsday

This is an old combo that allowed for us to get the aforementioned Method 1 together quickly. The ordering is as such, from top of library to bottom:

  1. Worldgorger Dragon
  2. Animate Dead/Necromancy/Dance of the Dead
  3. Avacyn's Judgment
  4. Comet Storm
  5. Bloodhall Priest

However, due to there being better (and safer) methods of achieving victory, so it has been retired. Still, I will leave this here should I change my mind (and for nostalgia).

Thanks to blazingscout for his excellent primer, which helped me fine-tune the deck from it's first iteration!
