Added Lifecrafter's Bestiary and Realmwalker, which finally take care of one of the sliver's greatest weaknesses, card draw and deck manipulation. With these two cards, you can play slivers so long as you have mana.It has been even more years than last time.

Goodness am I ever bad at pointing out revisions when I actually make them; looking at my last (and also belated) update, none of those (actual, specific printings of those) cards are even in my deck anymore (also I'd typed that update in a manner that now resulted in "the wrong version" being what is displayed, both for what's actually there now or what would have been there then). So here's some stuff that's new in the sense of "it wasn't on the list at all (probably because it simply didn't exist (or at least the version I wound up acquiring didn't, until I did that))" rather than just new in the "I got a fancier version of the same thing" sense, which is a bunch more stuff:
- Archon of Coronation
- A running theme for most of these is that I won't remember what got cut to include them, but the Archon almost certainly does something much more interesting than whatever it was I cut to include the Archon, because its effect is, shall we say "not common" (in that I'm reasonably certain it's the only card that does exactly this).
- Enduring Tenacity
- This was a more recent update so I remember what it replaced in no small part because that was just "essentially the same card (but for 1 more mana)", because that was Sanguine Bond. This card is just Sanguine Bond on an enchantment creature that comes back after dying as a regular, not a creature anymore version of... Sanguine Bond (but again, it cost 1 less mana); there are corner cases/possible lines of play that prevent me from ever outright stating that this is "strictly better" Sanguine Bond but it's certainly better than Sanguine Bond, on account of that whole "costs 1 less mana and also I can attack & block with it" aspect.
- Soul of Eternity
- This one I also remember what it replaced because that was Serra Avatar, and it replaced it because it's an easier to cast version of what is otherwise "exactly the same thing", except in one crucial way: it exchanges the upside that's really more of a downside (because reanimation "is a thing, that I can do to this version") of shuffling back into the library if it winds up in the graveyard with the Encore activated ability.
- Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose
- Couldn't begin to tell you what Vito replaced but he's in here because he's "also Sanguine Bond (but even cheaper!... but also always a creature who doesn't come with his own form of recursion, which is why he did not actually replace Sanguine Bond at the time playing him became an option, but was rather on the list alongside of Sanguine Bond)". He's rad.
- The Darkness Crystal
- Hilariously, this is one of the most recent updates to the list and I have completely forgotten what was in its slot; it does cool stuff & gains life in the process, which is kind of my thing.
- The Wind Crystal
- Same deal, it's in here now for the obvious reason that any way to double lifegain merits consideration but also it does more than just that.
- Bleachbone Verge
- This might have been a checkland, still lingering on the list? That seems plausible anyway.
- Floodfarm Verge
- Whatever land I cut to put this in was almost certainly "much worse" because the Verge cycle are some of if not the best "non-fetchable duals" WotC has seen fit to print.
- Gloomlake Verge
- They do have a downside - in that they're not actually an untapped dual at all, if you don't meet their condition - but that's a very minor one, in the grand scheme of things.
- Meticulous Archive
- The new cycle of Surveil duals have a much steeper drawback.
- Shadowy Backstreet
- But Surveil is a powerful ability and they are, of course, the sort of duals you can actually fetch for.
- Undercity Sewers
- Pretty sure these were swapped in for the not quite as new but still more recent than my last update cycle of ETB-tapped typed duals that they are strictly better versions of (because these also ETB tapped, but you get to Surveil).
- Raffine's Tower
- It's a tri-land you can fetch for, it's been on the list ever since WotC made the shard versions, I couldn't begin to even guess what I cut to include it.
- Sea of Clouds
- Drawing a total blank on my reasoning process at the time for why this part of the "probably comes in untapped (because multiplayer)" cycle is on the list over whatever it was that isn't, but it is a land that probably comes in untapped, so... that's probably fine.
I Did a Thing
CardTyrant, 1 week ago
I had a really bad day at work and my LGS is next door to my place of employment... Went there to hang out for a bit and saw... A Taiga for $270... So my squirrel deck now has a land that is almost as expensive as the whole deck. I did toy with the idea of putting it in my sliver deck but if I did that I'd want the other 9. :/Recently

Bracket 4 Tuning— July 13, 2025
+1 Bag of Holding / -1 Monument to Endurance I built a new deck need THIS Monument.
+1 Reckless Handling / -1 Vexing Bauble Tutor for Wincon.
+1 Mana Geyser / -1 Cursed Mirror
+1 Static Orb, Tangle Wire / Brass's Tunnel-Grinder Flip, Alhammarret's Archive Looks like STAX's back on the menu, boys!
-1 Arid Mesa, Bloodstained Mire, Scalding Tarn, Wooded Foothills. Fetchs' only job is to thin my library, and that barely does anything. I originally included them for cards like Rings of Brighthearth, Crucible of Worlds, and they are nowhere else.
+1 Cavern of Souls, Hall of the Bandit Lord. Making Commander haste or uncounterable definitely helps.
+1 Emergence Zone Casting spells on time is important at the high-power pod. Casting wheels in your main phase and leaving your opponents full hand size could be a nightmare.
+1 War Room Not a good card draw, but it's better than nothing.

Tuning — July 11, 2025
+1 Impulsive Pilferer, Diamond Pick-Axe, Druids' Repository, Inherited Envelope / -1 Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, Irreverent Gremlin, Coati Scavenger. I'm thinking ramps can make my post-combat main phase more useful. BUT, turn 1 Ravioli seems to have easily been targeted or traded, and wastes my precious turn build-up.
-1 Brallin, Skyshark Rider Flip I moved Brallin to my new deck, Ai wo Torimodose!! (Bring love back).
+1 Worldly Tutor / -1 Fauna Shaman Since there were already two GCs in the deck, one more GC couldn't be bothered.
+1 Aligned Hedron Network / -1 Bloodbraid Elf Bloodbraid is uh... unreliable. Swap to Brazen Cannonade for a week and find out it doesn't work either, first impulse draw for four can't make a huge difference. And it's only good with Goblin Bombardment.
+1 Rohirrim Lancer / -1 Taunting Kobold, Flesh Burrower. The ring bearer is a good strategy in both penetrating and looting. And Flesh Burrower is not fast enough to help the combat in time.
+1 Breaking of the Fellowship, Force of Vigor. / -1 Lightning Bolt, Grim Lavamancer, Chaos Warp. Dealing just 2 or 3 damages isn't enough.
+1 Shortcut to Mushrooms / -1 Cait, Cage Brawler. Cait performs meh in a low mana-curve deck; she never grows up a bit, and dies soon after in a wrath. Maybe the Shortcut could easily pump every creature I want?
+1 Cloakwood Hermit, Infiltration Lens. What am I doing? I've already been in and out of these cards countless times.
+1 Scalding Tarn / -1 Forest
Add the sideboard for the Bracket 2 situation.

Kefka is the most recent print I am gonna try out, and I may add in bith Chainer, Dementia Master, and Chainer, Nightmare Adept to break the symmetry some, and add a bit more graveyard recursion for the instances of things not playing out how Marchesa wants.Mainboard Updates v.4
Andramalech, 1 week ago
The following are mostly mechanical changes to help the deck succeed more consistently. Most of these changes were influenced by the input of SufferFromEDHD.
-
Baleful Mastery was the chef's kiss removal spell and should be considered here, but I haven't found the shimmy room quite yet. I think the card to remove is Lore Broker but the capability to repeat the draw is alluring- maybe instead this replaces Whispering Madness.
-
Witch's Clinic helps offset the long list of life-draining spells this deck uses. Greatness comes at a steep cost, and giving anything we have a recurring ability like Lifelink will keep me in the game for an annoyingly longer amount of time. It is for this reason that Riveteers Overlook is coming out of the mainboard.
-
Urza's Saga does in fact fetch the Top easily, and that's really the only reason I need to have to include the land. Other targets include the low cost cast in the mainboard, like Mana Vault and Sol Ring, Chrome Mox, etc.
-
Sensei's Divining Top is being added because unbeknownst to Suffer, this happens to be one of if not my favorite artifacts of all time (sorry Mox Opal). So this card is being added back because as they pointed out, it helps feature the use of the Dark Confidant with more success, and piggybacks the same effect style as Ripples of Undeath, where we're just trying to find our combo piece.
-
Then comes the question of arguably the coolest addition to the main roster, someone I've already been familiar with. Very wild stuff indeed, SufferFromEDHD- I am adding Lier, Disciple of the Drowned to the mainboard. Due to the fact I have Minds Aglow in the mainboard, I'll be removing Prosperity.
Another great addition and a few more successfully revised cards! Glad to have the interaction with SufferFromEDHD and the commentary from FormOverFunction.

Not many updates for this deck. Finding bad creatures is, sarcastically shocking, hard to find. No one wants to play bad creatures, right?
Well I found a new toy that Jonny wants to make room for, Troublesome Spirit.

I Adore This Deck, But I Feel Like a Monster
purelycryptic, 1 week ago
I can't help but want to keep improving him, especially because of how hated he is—I want him to succeed but because of his ability it's hard to play with a more competitive pod without feeling shitty just for playing the deck in the first place. EVEN THOUGH I RARELY EVER WIN?? I enjoy making people think about how to win. Not just win!! I don't care if I win or lose so long as everyone is having fun, and I understand that it can feel hard to play against Horobi, but like I said: He rarely wins me ANY games. I really am just so proud of this deck and what I've been able to make it become, it's been such a delight to watch it continue to bloom every time I play. The point was never to stop people from playing, it's to make them think about how they play and maybe trying different avenues to win. Not to mention the learning curve being so weird and difficult but so rewarding once fully understood. I just don't understand how people can see such crazy, interesting, and janky cards + interactions and not feel almost mesmerized on how to maneuver around its bullshit lol, that's the only way I've really learned to play ANY game of Magic so as to not lose my cool. More often than not I just upset myself playing because it can be a little hard for me to even understand how MY OWN deck works so much. I'm far more impressed and interested in how these people kill me, rather than how I kill them. It's just a game. I wish I could play this more without feeling mean for making it in the first place.New Sliver Lore Incoming?
Mortlocke, 1 week ago
Hey all,
After the atrocious writing of March of the Machines I for the most part have not paid attention to any lore for upcoming sets. Then there was the one moment I checked out the lore for Thunder Junction - curious about extraplanar cowboys only to be slapped in the face with a Knock Off Baby Yoda. Even that art was ugly. But finally, someone at Wizards released something compelling - new Sliver lore in the upcoming Edge of Eternities. So far, I'm tracking that Slivers have been mentioned in Episode 2 of the Online Podcast:
tl;dw Slivers were mentioned at the following points:
- 26:20 - Sometimes in movies slivers mimic the sounds of things they hear to lure you in. Of course, slivers aren't real.
- 30:51 - Maybe slivers grow inside you and jump out your ears.
- 42:01 - A terrible thing dwells inside Sammy buried between heart and spine - like a Sliver embryo.
Update - As of Episode 8, yet another Sliver reference was dropped matching the same tone or theme as they were mentioned in Episode 2.
- 5:32 - Between here and her destination she hears harrowing tales of Sliver Infestations and Eldrazi contamination.
Slivers in this universe seem like they're something of a urban legend, a boogieman you speak of to scare folks around a campfire, or basically just Xenomorphs from the Alien franchise. This also implies that there has to be a source, therefore allow me to put on my tin-foil speculation/conspiracy theory hat after I mention Mark Rosewater's EoE Teaser which states under "Somethings you can expect" - card that grants an ability to Slivers. I for one do not expect to see any Slivers in this set. However, according to a significantly less chitinous individual the card that grants abilities to Slivers in Edge of Eternities set is going to be kinda sorta maybe like this:
===spoiler:This is a Rumor, Don't take Seriously
===endspoiler
If and big IF this is real, I'd welcome this card into my own collection and into my still in progress (and considerably less competitive) Sliver deck. That's it so far, i'll keep posting updates as they come out in the lore. What do you think of this card? Is it good? Does it open up new design space for Slivers in the way Hivestone did? (but way less clunky and more practical).
Thank you for coming by my Hive. I'll keep posting updates as they come.
Universes Beyond changes
Sunzet, 1 week ago
The sideboard has gone through dramatic changes in order to better synergize with Aether Vial. Added Shay Cormax and Westfold Rider, and brought back Rem Karolus, Stalwart Slayer. Main deck changes include removing Metallic Mimic and bringing in Blacklance Paragon, Marshal of Zhalfir, and Haytham Kenway. All three of these creatures have instant impacts on the board and fit within the tribe. Removed Arid Mesa and Sacred Foundry for Starting Town and Horizon Canopy. I do not have these cards at the time of writing, but they will be cheaper and more flexible additions due to the more varied mana costs of the deck.Parapet Out
IQuarent, 1 week ago
IN: Dragonborn Champion, Taiga
OUT: Parapet Thrasher, Game Trail
I drew Parapet Thrasher twice during games I've played with it. It did next to nothing both times. With no meaningful artifacts to blow up, the only thing to do with it that's impactful is impulse draw, which is really risky and not ideal to do after combat. Dragonborn Champion was recently acquired and I've had my eye on it for a long time. I'm trying it.
Someone I played with gifted me a pretty good proxy of Taiga, so why not?

Optimator, 2 weeks ago
I had a ton of Boros equipment support cards and good equipment, so I finally decided to update this precon. There are a lot of swaps, so I hope the Fallout flavor stays strong enough; I like to keep as much Universes Beyond cards in my precons as I can. Going all-in on equipment, since I have a Calix, Guided by Fate aura deck (The Whims of Fate (Calix +1/+1 Counters and Auras)) and I miiiiight build Three Dog, Galaxy News DJ (Always Fight the Good Fight!).
A couple of these are temporary, and some more Fallout versions of cards are in the mail (Farseek, Cultivate, etc.)
Added:
Viewpoint Synchronization - Cultivate - Rampant Growth - Sword of Hearth and Home - Sram, Senior Edificer - Austere Command - Bureau Headmaster - Akiri, Fearless Voyager - Astor, Bearer of Blades - Danitha, New Benalia's Light - Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar - Sigarda's Aid - Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist - Reyav, Master Smith - Sword of Light and Shadow - Adaptive Omnitool - Power Fist - Nettlecyst - Boros Charm - Back to Nature - Mother of Runes - Rose, Cutthroat Raider - Crush Contraband - Tarrian's Soulcleaver - Stump Stomp
Flip - Witch Enchanter
Flip - Legion Leadership
Flip -Sundering Eruption
Flip - Ondu Inversion
Flip - Fighter Class
- Axgard Armory
Removed:
Abundant Growth - Fertile Ground - Perception Bobblehead - Explorer's Scope - Preston Garvey, Minuteman - Megaton's Fate - Agility Bobblehead - Acquired Mutation - Grim Reaper's Sprint - Three Dog, Galaxy News DJ - Moira Brown, Guide Author - Vault 21: House Gambit - Animal Friend - Squirrel Nest - Idolized - Sticky Fingers - Well Rested - Almost Perfect - Mister Gutsy - Break Down - Bighorner Rancher - Duchess, Wayward Tavernkeep - Commander Sofia Daguerre - Super Mutant Scavenger - Ash Barrens - Evolving Wilds - Temple of the False God - Terramorphic Expanse - Rancor - Plains - Mountain
First swap
Optimator, 2 weeks ago
This precon is so good, I didn't really have many plans to make changes. I wanted to add powerfist to my Dogmeat, Ever Loyal deck (The Dog Survives), so I swapped in Zellix, Sanity Flayer
. I still think Powerfist is pretty great in this deck, so if I ever get another one I could see myself re-adding it.
Might make some swaps if I'm feeling cute later, and/or add some of the MH3 MDFCs I got way back.
