Pia-tiful Impulse Control
Seething Song for Ruby Medallion: While Medallion has a theoretical long-term upside that can't be matched, the deck is too heavily white spells at this point for the ramp to be consistently meaningful, especially early on. SS allows us to impulse draw with greater confidence knowing we can absoluteely cast whatever pops out.
Etali's Favor for Impact Tremors: This one is a test. Fully aware that tremors is a better card, but Favor is such a vibe. it enables some of our more aggresively slanted non-token creatures to crash through (it works incredibly with Laelia!) while keeping the tokens flowing. It feels similar to Unstable Amulet in that it 'replaces itself' and gets you a Pia trigger for your troubles, plus some small utility
The Flux for Runaway Steam-Kin: This deck has enough midgame mana engines. What it needs is consistent impulse draw. The normal issue with 4-CMC impulse draw engines (looking at you, Outpost Siege) is that they do nothing the turn they come in, making them a somehow-even-slower Phyrexian Arena that doesnt even actually draw the card. The Flux solves that by picking off a creature, then giving you 4 turns of advantage. If you're still around, it then gives 6 red to cast whatever you got left (you'll probably have more cards in hand, as you've been casting an extra card from exile every turn). Its basically a version of Count on Luck thats easier to cast and gives you a late-game burst that could be the exta push you need to seal a win
Inti, Seneschal of the Sun for Charismatic Conqueror: This one is also a test slot, although I'm less confident. Inti is in theory card-nuetral that helps us dig deeper for Pia triggers. Its best case scenario is when it teams up with the likes of Delney, Streetwise Lookout, Party Thrasher or Harnfel, Horn of Bounty Flip to provide extra advantage. Conqueror's tokens are rarely the reason we win the game without the help of other cards, and while that may be harsh to say about a 2-drop, the fact of the matter is that we can only play so many off-plan cards before we dilute the deck.

BEHOLD YOUR DEATH

Unless you absolutely just want to stay on theme, which is fine, I have some considerations for you
Blast-Furnace Hellkite is expensive, but basically the best dragon, you've seen the horrors of Terror of Mount Velus as well, so consider at least one of them. Obsidian Charmaw is also amazing at punishing nonbasic land use.
Consider throwing in some more rituals in addition to Seething Song, for stormscale scion/dragonstorm. Its overpowered but Past in Flames and Underworld Breach can be absurd with that.
You have almost no draw. Some dragons can help with that, or there's always wheels
I'd dump Metallic Mimic in favor of Bloodline Pretender unless you really need the lord effect since he counts a dragon no matter what zone he is in. Taurean Mauler is also nuts.
Always consider Boompile and Nevinyrral's Disk in red. you dont have any other way to handle enchantments, and they help you survive to the late game, which is important when most of your stuff is very expensive and you dont happen to have your cost reducers.
Draconic Roar and Spit Flame really weak for commander in general. maybe look at Mizzium Mortars instead.
If sarkhan ever gets big enough to be a threat something like Two-Handed Axe , Temur Battle Rage , Rush of Blood, or Fatal Frenzy can be deadly

Unleashing the Maelstrom: Yidris' Controlled Chaos
7 months ago
Played a couple games. Yidris sputtered out, again, probably should have mulliganed.
Second try, Yidris kept hitting land drops. Suspended Wheel of Fate, Turn 3 Waste Not. Turn 4 Primal Amulet Flip, Turn 5 Dark Petition. Taylor on Henzie "Toolbox" Torre, mostly, had hit me down to 3, the other players could have killed me. Taylor destroyed my Waste Not in response to the Wheel of Fate being cast; he channeled Boseiju, Who Endures. No matter. That gave me the Island I needed to cast the Turnabout that I would not have been able to cast otherwise. Main phase, cast Seething Song to flip into Primal Wellspring Flip, allowing me to copy Emergent Ultimatum. Got to cast Time Warp, and Ghostly Flicker while Dualcaster Mage got shuffled back. No matter. Used Increasing Vengeance to copy the original Emergent Ultimatum, again! Will and Thomas had already conceded but Taylor started arguing about the stack before angrily leaving, repeating, "I'm done! I'm done!" Would have had infinite mana with some extra turns, probably an Aetherflux Reservoir to boot.

Baraton, Reckless Geomancer
Legendary Creature - Human Shaman
Protection from lands
You may play an additional basic Mountain each turn.
Mountains you control have ", : This land deals 1 damage to each creature."
5/6
"What do you mean, dangerous? I'm still alive, right?"
The last ability is lightly stolen from Koth of the Hammer, and Baraton is absolutely in the Seething Song-Pyretic Ritual-Geosurge "praise the lava" stance in the art.
Create a druid's grove.
wallisface on Could Uro come back to …

For what its worth, i went through the modern banlist and made a list of cards i’d rather see unbanned because they’d be less toxic than Uro (note this doesn’t mean i actually want any of these unbanned, just that i think they’d be less broken).
- Ancient Den
- Blazing Shoal
- Deathrite Shaman
- Fury
- Golgari Grave-Troll (3rd time lucky right?)
- Great Furnace
- Green Sun's Zenith
- Grief
- Ponder
- Punishing Fire
- Seat of the Synod
- Seething Song
- Splinter Twin
- Tree of Tales
- Vault of Whispers
- Violent Outburst (this one feels super close/adjacent).
- Yorion, Sky Nomad (not that this one’s on the banlist for a power reason though - and imo it should defo stay banned)

Thunderous Burn (Pauper)
This is a really fun list, Thunderous Wrath holds a special place in my heart as pauper’s only miracle card! One change you might consider is swapping Simian Spirit Guide out for something like Rite of Flame or Seething Song. While they require initial mana to cast, they synergize really well with all your creatures that care about non-creature spells or instant/sorcery spells.

Considering you're running red and Dragonstorm you should look into the red "ritual cards." Worse cast they give you more mana to cast other spells. Best case, you're tutoring more dragons than you'll probably expect.
Seething Song and Mana Geyser are good ones.
