woolfhunt on Rakdos Disguise Combo

Main goal of this deck is to burn opponent's life quickly by flinging Hunted Bonebrute with Callous Sell-Sword. It will often do 9 damage to the dome. Doing so twice should kill opponent, as doing 2 chip damage with either Kumano Faces Kakkazan  Flip, creatures, or burn spells. Unfortunately Callous Sell-Sword is not very good in the vacuum, that's why we are playing Pyrotechnic Performer, flipping it and Bonebrute will also end us with 9 damage in addition to 9 power on the board. The drawback is of course tempo, as playing 2 disguise creatures requires a lot of mana. Although disguised creatures are rather well protected against common single-target removals, cards like Path of Peril can really mess with our board, that's why we are playing Deep-Cavern Bat and Duress in the sideboard. We are also playing package of cards that should help us digging to the combo - Bloodtithe Harvester, Charming Scoundrel, and Inti, Seneschal of the Sun.

The most and best wheel cards are in and , so you need at least one of those colors, and preferably both. Xyris, the Writhing Storm and

Breaking it down, wheeling has four key parts: you discard, you draw, opponents discard, and opponents draw. This is a very simple, slightly curated list of commander options that care about at least one of these.

"Whenever you draw"

"Whenever you discard"

"Whenever an opponent draws"

"Whenever an opponent discards"

Some side options are reanimator, since you're going to be filling graveyards fast, and spellslinger, since most of the straightforward options are instants and sorceries.

Crow_Umbra on A Plane of Knights & Dragons

No prob! I figured the Fallout knights might be a bit more "off theme" based off their appearances more than anything.

If you swap out some dragons, one of those slots could maybe go to Shanid, Sleepers' Scourge, and some of those other dragon slots could go to other Legendary Knights that are on-color, and would be supported by Shanid's Menace anthem and draw. Some of them are kinda specific, but others are a bit more generically good:

  • Inti, Seneschal of the Sun - An interesting draw piece that creates impulse draw whenever you discard

  • Adeline, Resplendent Cathar - She's a bit pricier, but with good reason. She can hang back while you attack with other creatures and she spits out tokens to quickly build up board presence.

  • Skyhunter Strike Force - Not a legend from the link above, but still a great card. Essentially a mini Adriana, Captain of the Guard.

  • Eowyn, Fearless Knight - Removal on a stick that gives your Legendary creatures protection from the colors of the creature she exiles.

  • Tori D'Avenant, Fury Rider - She gives some pseudo-Vigilance, trample, and +1/+1 antheming when she attacks.

  • Adriana, Captain of the Guard - Another keyword anthem that can get you up to +3/+3 on your team if you swing at everyone.

Thank you for the kind words Tsukimi, I appreciate it. I've updated the deck a bit more since you possibly play-tested it, with some notable additions being Inti, Seneschal of the Sun, Chimil, the Inner Sun, Breeches, Eager Pillager, The Flux, and Bonehoard Dracosaur.

Prosper was my first toe dip into Rakdos, and something I've had a lot of fun with. At the time that I put the deck together I thought this would just be a niche design space, and not a major slice of the pie for Red over the following years.

Inti, Seneschal of the Sun is some newer tech that could be at home in Alesha, especially with the different Looting effects you're already running
