My current EDH Sharuum deck. Its based on combo and has a lot of fun copying cards. It's semicompetative, so it isnt "combo at any price" type of deck. Still is missing a few cool cards, and also utility lands, but it is fun to play nevertheless.

Combo pieces:

  1. Sword of the Meek + Thopter Foundry + Time Sieve or Thopter Assembly + Time Sieve =Win

  2. Clever Impersonator Phyrexian Metamorph Sculpting Steel or Mirrorworks copying Sharuum and Blood Artist = Win (Bitter Ordeal or Disciple of the Vault can do the trick too).

Good synergies:

  1. Sword of the Meek + Thopter Foundry = Cheep 1/1

  2. Conjurer's Closet or Master Transmuter = Sharuum ETB every turn OR Myr Battlesphere Filigree Angel ETB every turn OR All this + Mirrorworks = insane lots of cool thinks every turn.

  3. Prototype Portal can be usful with lots of cards: Baleful Strix Sol Ring Ichor Wellspring Scourglass Lotus Bloom (!) Darksteel Citadel (!!!) and Unwinding Clock makes it even better

  4. Mirrorweave - Well, I like copying things, so why not turn my army of either thopters or myers into army of Sphinx of the Steel Wind? Very versatile card and may be used as a defensive one too.


Card roles:

  1. Etherwrought Page, Trading Post, Thirst for Knowledge, Nephalia Drownyard, Riddlesmith - Can fill your graveyard with good artifacts for Sharuum.

  2. Beseech the Queen, Diabolic Tutor, Reshape, Shred Memory, Lim-Dul's Vault - Help with finding combo pieces (not all tutors Id like to get are here yet)


Number 1 cards for Sharuum to target:

  1. Magister Sphinx - with this guy your opponent's next turn can be the last one.

  2. Master Transmuter - this one is amazing! If not focused it can solo turn Ichor Wellspring into Sphinx of the Steel Wind turn 4. Its a Cloudshift on a stick. It can save your artifacts and make combat tricks.

  3. Conjurer's Closet - Return it. Then return something else. Repeat. With Sharuum it will be slowmo Open the Vaults

  4. Scourglass - Best removal in this deck. With Sharuum Its repetitive. Your opponents will hate it.

  5. Sphinx of the Steel Wind - This one can smash faces. It's not invincible, but a lot of commanders will have a problem with this card

  6. Filigree Angel - Restore all hitpoints you've lost during early game.
