Description

The premise of this deck is to get creatures of value in the yard which can then be reanimated or returned to hand if need be via Meren of Clan Nel Toth or something like Victimize for example. Tutors to get the cards you need, and eventually, beat their face in with damage from all the value. If they kill a creature of yours, you can easily reanimate it or return to hand for more value.

A fun combo I have found with this deck isCorpse Connoisseur + Meren of Clan Nel Toth You'll need a sac outlet to do this consistently but generally on that first connoisseur trigger you can grab something like Viscera Seer or Fleshbag Marauder or something to consistently sac things to. This combo leads to being able to just tutor for any and all creatures you need, this is especially fun if you have Sheoldred, Whispering One as you can just bring out any creature you want pretty much.

Ideal combo in hand: Animate Dead + Entomb Entomb a big creature and just return with animate dead, pretty simple, grabs like It That Betrays or Sheoldred, Whispering One can really stunt people early on

Currently, I am trying to decide what my win con is, as of right now it seems like just getting major board advantage then just swinging in for the win with lots of damage over a few turns. ANY ADVICE ON ADDITIONAL WIN CONS WOULD BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED!

It That Betrays is my personal favorite Entomb/Animate Dead target. If your opponents don't have an immediate answer, you pretty much lock someone out of the game because as soon as you start swinging, they have to sac lands and you get them as ramp. Exhume is another fairly inexpensive reanimation spell, especially if you get it after you cast entomb early where your opponents' graveyards are empty.

andylkell I didn't think of that! That's a great idea thanks! And yeah I was debating about Exhume is kinda weird considering my meta as it can cause big problems unless I can guarantee they won't have a good target. Thanks man!

You're welcome! I bought this deck for my wife and she loves it. You may also think about adding dredge creatures just to fill your graveyard a bit more. Examples are Stinkweed Imp, Golgari Grave-Troll, Golgari Thug. I use them plus The Gitrog Monster and Lotleth Troll to form an unassuming combo in which you dredge, hit a land, discard the dredger and dredge again. As long as you hit a land every time you dredge (which isn't hard), you can mill yourself as much as you want, then cast Living Death to get everyone on the battlefield. It's kind of jankey, but she's assembled it several times to great effect.

You may consider other tutors like Behold the Beyond, Beseech the Queen, or Dark Petition just to gain a little consistency.

andylkell That's a great idea! Thanks! I used to have grave-troll in here but I noticed it wasn't really getting many tokens I just used it for the dredge, but that's a great combo I never realized! I recently added stinkweed and have been noticing it's potential!

And I forgot about those tutors! Thank you so much! I'm currently debating whether to buy this deck or a Hapatra commander deck I've been working on as well! I'm torn as to which is more fun than powerful because I already have a broken Mikaeus, the Unhallowed EDH deck which people don't like to play against anymore xDIf you wouldn't mind taking a look at the hapatra deck and maybe givng your two cents on it I'd really appreciate it! Thank you a ton! Here, have like 30 poison counters
