Well, I ain't evil, I'm just good lookin'

I certainly hope the reference isn't lost on anyone here...

As I awoke to another day of Momir Vig, Simic Visionary combos, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord ramp, I came to a realization that I had been lacking a certain something. The revelation hit me like a cleaver right through my skull. Yes, I had yet to build any sort of tribal build. I was befuddled. "But alizer313," I said to myself, "You only seem to build combo decks! The only commander you can build tribal-combo with is, like, Oona, Queen of the Fae or something!" But I took time to think... to plan... and then it hit me like a bullet. My favorite legends, if they weren't wizards, they were... zombies. That was it! Tribal zombies. And so, my eyes turned to Grimgrin, Corpse-Born. While I do like alternatives, like Thraximundar, I prefered ole' Grimgrin, Corpse-Born as he covered the colors I wanted. I also like his built in sacrifice effect far more than other zombie commanders.

Yes, yes, I know you're hungry...

Right! Zombies. The idea of this deck is zombies, play zombies, sacrifice zombies, swing with zombies, Reanimate zombies, have tea with zombies, and more zombie-like things. If you like zomb-zombs, and big tribal effects, this deck may be for you! I'm still working on the synergy part, but I will take heed of the advice of my peers. The meta this deck will be exposed to is mildly-casual to mildly-competitive. I have no intention of making this deck ultra competitive (for once), so please, feel free to provide your input. Budget is relatively open.

Hungry for Love

I'll be honest. The beginning of the game is gonna be a little slow. Slow isn't terribly fun, but hey, every deck has it's slow points. Besides, this deck literally explodes when you find synergy. During the beginning, you'll want to build your mana up. Dimir Signet, Sol Ring, Chromatic Lantern, Gilded Lotus and other such ramp cards will keep you good. From there, the idea of the deck is to find some synergy that you can abuse. Clearly, with an arsenal of zombie-lords, like Death Baron, Diregraf Captain, Lord of the Undead, and Zombie Warchief, you should have quite an intimidating force. Rooftop Storm is gonna be one of the best cards in the deck, especially when paired with cards like Graveborn Muse (this gal is insane). They result in drawing zombies, and immediately playing said zombies. Endless Ranks can truly seem endless when paired with Grave Titan or some other token maker. If things get rough, start over. Damnation, Toxic Deluge, and Cyclonic Rift will pin-down any superior force; not to mention Vengeful Dead and Diregraf Captain don't really mind having zombies die. There's other tid-bits in there, but I'll leave those for you to find.

1. Gravecrawler + Grimgrin, Corpse-Born + Rooftop Storm = one fat ass general. Add in Diregraf Captain or Vengeful Dead for maximum damage.
2. Altar of Dementia + Undead Alchemist = Potential to mill forever.
3. Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth + Zombie Master = Unblockable Zombies.
4. Vengeful Dead/Diregraf Captain + Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Altar = Kill everyone
5. Zombie + Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Altar + Rooftop Storm = Infinite mana.
6. Havengul Lich + Rooftop Storm = Cast any zombie from the graveyard for 1.
7. Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Phyrexian Altar + Skinrender = Infinite Mana
8. Altar of Dementia + Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Skinrender = Infinite Mill
9. Grimgrin, Corpse-Born + Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Skinrender = Giant Commander
10. Sac-outlet+Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Skinrender + Vengeful Dead or Diregraf Captain = Kill Everyone
