Building Palladia-Mors voltron out of the skeleton of Ruhan voltron.

Why voltron? I previously played Ruhan of the Fomori voltron and really enjoyed it. In my experience, Ruhan was most vulnerable in one specific moment - when he is on the battlefield and I am attempting to equip him with something that gives hexproof / shroud. Put simply, Palladia-Mors, the Ruiner does not have that moment of vulnerability. She can even hang out on the battlefield as a deterrent while I finish setting up my board state.

Why not run a better voltron commander, like Uril, the Miststalker ? Those other voltron commanders aren't ELDER DRAGONS, that's why!

Current sub-themes: Show

• Mass land destruction - specifically non-basics. She is "the Ruiner," after all, I think it's only appropriate that she have access to Ruination ! Beyond that, I also have From the Ashes as a second source of non-basic hate, and good old fashioned Armageddon . My intention with this MLD is to cast it when Palladia-Mors is on the battlefield and so would have a good chance of killing opponents before they can recover.

• Equipment over auras. Equipment is more exciting to me in voltron than auras. I know that GW has access to various Enchantress effects which make auras more appealing, but based on my experiences playing Ruhan of the Fomori you don't need a boatload of card advantage to consistently cast your commander and make them devastating. Besides, I already have the expensive equipment staples like Puresteel Paladin and Stoneforge Mystic .

• Currently at least, I have no backup plan. If I'm playing a voltron strategy for an actual factual Elder Dragon Legend, then I will be disappointed if I win the game in any other fashion. So, I'm not really interested in cards like Armory Automaton or Balan, Wandering Knight since those cards encourage me to do something other than "attack with a deadly elder dragon."

I've settled on my starting deck configuration. What do you think? Any suggestions would be welcome! In particular I could easily be missing out on some green card advantage, or the top GW auras. I'm equipment focused, but I'm okay with some of the best auras.
