A land-based control deck with an Ad Nauseam combo finish. This is a side project of mine, for which I am slowly collecting cards for. Ideas and suggestions would be appreciated!

Control

Because I like my edh games long and dumb, and I wanted a deck with 80+% lands, control seems like the way to go. We have a ton of Maze of Ith effects and our commander is a recurring board wipe with Volrath's Stronghold + High Market or Miren, the Moaning Well.

Note that we are NOT a straight up stax/prison deck. Our defences our meant to discourage attacking us, not lock our opponents out of casting spells or attacking entirely. So no Embargo , no Moat and no Ensnaring Bridge.

Winning

So how do you win the game with lands? We have a bunch of manlands and tokens + Kessig Wolf Run but that can only get us so far in a format full of ridiculous bombs.

Dark Depths + Thespian's Stage is pretty good. Marit is quite huge, even by edh standards and we can recur her with Life from the Loam or Crucible of Worlds. But sometimes we just need to go bigger.

Enter Ad Nauseam. Lands happen to be the lowest avg cmc card type, so ad nauseam can draw a lot of cards in a land heavy deck. In this case, all the cards most of the time.

Usually, when you can draw your whole deck there is a reasonable chance to win outright. In this case, we have an on-theme Manabond + Maze's End + Deserted Temple + all the gates combo. All these cards can win without ad nauseam too, which is great too.

Note that we are NOT a combo deck, we are a control deck with a combo finish. There are no tutors in this version, since I believe this leads to better games in general.
