Combos:

  1. a) Hazoret's Monument + Paradox Engine + Mana Rocks + Any Dredger in hand + Bounce Creature = dredging out your entire library, cast Laboratory Maniac with Muldrotha or Dread Return to win

b) Replace Paradox Engine and mana rocks w/ Aluren

c) generate infinite storm without the dredger or monument and Aetherflux resevoir for the win

  1. Magistrate's Scepter + Coretapper + Muldrotha, the Gravetide = infinite turns

  2. Doomsday + cantrips + Laboratory Maniac

  3. a.) Muldrotha, the Gravetide + Phantasmal Image + Animate Dead + Lion's Eye Diamond = infinite mana and can cast any permanent in graveyard

b.) add Hazoret's Monument + any dredger in hand = self mill entire deck

  1. a.) Mesmeric Orb + Basalt Monolith = self mill entire deck (thanks Daedalus19876!)

b.) Mesmeric Orb + Paradox Engine + Bounce Creature = same result

Most of the creatures are either artifact or enchantment creatures so they can be cast easier with Muldrotha, there is also a whole let of extra card draw for more synergy with dredge.

This is my third Muldrotha deck, I think it's a fantastic commander, here are the others (one of them is Brawl):

A guy at my LGS used Lotus Petal in his. He also used planeswalkers like Kiora, the Crashing Wave as repeatable card draw and ramp.

Man Kiora is sick in this deck, the land per turn plus card draw/dredge triggers is really nice.

Thanks so much babushkasara, now I just gotta figure out what I wanna take out.

You seem to have your combos nailed down, so I won't mess with those. I'd cut the Cluestones and Keyrunes personally - I'm never really a fan of 3-mana rocks, with one notable exception: Coalition Relic. Particularly in this deck, where your commander is a 6 drop, CRelic is a necessity and will let you cast her on T4.

Beyond that, I'm surprised not to see a Mesmeric Orb, Ashnod's Altar, Reanimate, Necromancy, Dance of the Dead etc in a self-mill deck... Mesmeric Orb also goes infinite with Basalt Monolith, which could be an additional combo here.

I have a self-mill deck as well, and while the commander is different, you might be able to find some cards that you like in there :)

Happy deckbuilding! :)

thanks Daedalus19876!

Some really great options here. I like the Cluestones for this commander because they can be sac'd and replayed, but the keyrunes are a bit expensive.

I also like the enchantment reanimators more than actual Reanimate, again because I can play them out of the yard.

That's a fun combo with Mesmeric Orb, I'll be sure to add it.

And I'll always look at a deck with a Firefly reference in the name!

A friend and I built Muldrotha in a really weird hybrid way. So usually you see two types of decks creatureless Primal Surge, or full on self-mill Laboratory Maniac; we did both through a very carefully crafted deck that ended up winning FAR too often; check it out for some ideas.

Also a straight champion in this deck is Conjurer's Bauble + Tunnel Vision. If you don't have a Tunnel Vision in hand the Bauble is literally : Draw a card; With vision in hand it's your win.

Also Living Death is a champ in this deck as well

Survival of the Fittest would be awesome here. Not only does it let you send creatures to the graveyard, but it also gets your creatures from your library.

Oh also if you go with Laboratory Maniac as a win con you should definitely include Hermit Druid and reduce your number of basics. He can literally flip your whole deck into the grave if you have no basics in library.

I have a question that depending on how it’s answered, will lead to another question. 1, does animate dead/phantasmal image proc on itself? By that I mean do I have to play animate dead over and over again each turn with the lions eye diamond mana? And if that’s the case, then all the mana would have to be black, not any color. Also, you can only cast 1 permanent if each type from a graveyard each turn, are you saying that we attach animate dead to the phantasmal image after it’s sac’d, but with its own ability still?
